+1 It's nothing new. PS didn't hear the elton fans complaining when Vettel was booed in Silverstone or plenty of other races when he was at red bull. Double standard.
Hope crybaby puts it in the wall this weekend, Vettel could use the points......... come on Maxine, tip elton in a nice little spin and make sure the crash ****s up his engine and gearbox
Well so far, not straightforward weekend. We'll have to see tomorrow if Mercedes can challenge them. A bit of rain would be helpful for sure.
https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/hamilton-takes-pride-in-not-making-vettel-like-errors/3178722/ Speak too soon anybody? That’ll make his next mistake all the sweeter
He's just playing his mind games, and hitting him while he's down. Hoping for a knockout punch, but it may do the opposite and motivate Vettel. IMHO, it will piss off Seb and give him motivation to come back stronger. Personally, I think it was a dumb move.
just a clickbait headline: Lewis comments are not remotely controversal, and very much stating the facts: I don't look at it and think 'we've lucked in'," said Hamilton. "When Vettel hit the wall the other day, damaged the car and lost running on the track, that's not us lucking in. I take a lot of pride in not putting myself in those positions. I know my team is relying on me just as his team is relying on him. There's a lot of pressure on us drivers. It's only small percentages that you get wrong and they have bigger ramifications. I'm sure they [Ferrari] will go away from this as a difficult weekend, as we've had difficult weekends, and come back stronger for the next one. I can assure you that we as a team, we're not cocky or overly confident. We are being diligent and working as hard as we can. We want to keep hammering away as we are"
Hamilton is inside Vettel's head just like in 2017. The Bone Head has proven to be easily manipulated Yes, that's why he's winning lol!
I hate to be the one to poke the gorilla, but I'm wondering how much of this thread's non-stop stream of ad hominem vitriol directed at Hamilton is driven by simple racism...
This thread is necessary to allow the Hamilton haters to let off steam from time to time rather than committing suicide, I think.
I commented on that a few years back (and I wasn't alone in that), only to be told I was way off the mark. I have serious doubt though ...
With all due respect you are way off the mark - we might not like him as he is a pratt but please don't bring up the racist card unless you have proof. Also as much as he is a pratt, if you look at the other threads he's been given a lot of (deserved) respect in the last 2 races re his driving ability. Best, Sammy
I'm not saying all Hamilton's detractors are racist per se, but some of his critics on this forum have let slip the veil at times over the years. You must know the saying: "If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's a duck !"
I'm clearly not making any direct accusation, but the extremity and purely personal character of the attacks do make me wonder. How many people here have actually met Hamilton? I've met him on a few occasions (the first time when he was just 12!), and never found cause for complaint in his personality or attitude. Sure, he has an ego but no more than several other champions I've met (and worked with) and far less than some. If people are judging Lewis to be a 'prat' based simply on media reports or hearsay, such opinions should be appropriately qualified. By way of establishing my own bona fides, I have worked on and off in F1 since 1975.
I judge him to be a pratt by my own standards - and obviously this is extremely subjective - but his behaviour as far as I'm concerned - him vs Alonso, him vs Rosberg, him getting upset that Button "unfollowed" him when he was never followed, playing the working class Stevenage ghetto kid etc etc I can't stand. That's just me. Is Hamilton good for F1 ? I've always said yes. Also take into account the context - he is our enemy so some comments under a thread titled Elton sucks to me does not imply racism - if you have some sort of proof I'll back you all the way, and if you don't I'd suggest that you retract your suggestion. Best, Sammy
If this might make you feel a bit better I am the same race as elton and I still think he's a ****ing tit! So you may want to take that racism nonsense else where!
I can assure you that your comments here are not among those of a very few posters that raise the question for me and others. And I can equally assure you that it is a question rather than a 'suggestion'. It would be nice (in several senses) if Lewis' critics made their case with more light and less heat, and more in keeping with the generally high standards of debate found on this site.
