I just got home an hour ago. Lots of Daytona's. 7-10 from memory. Good turn out and really good amount of Ferrari drivers that were not in show.

I was hoping to see more vintage cars and was surprised there was not many.

    Thanks Dave.
Sorry to hear about "not many" vintage models and also little surprised about only(?) 7-10 Daytonas, especially when it is the featured model of this meet. I had hoped to hear (and see photos) of at least 20-25+ examples.
How many other vintage cars were present ?

    275 GTS
    410 SA coupe PF
    330 GTC
    2 F40
    1 black F50

Those would be the highlights if what I saw on instagram.

From what I saw, it did seem the vintage turnout was low, considering this was not far from NY...

I was sent these photos by a renowned fchatter, Mr. Ken Goldman.
The car shown at the FCA Annuals in Watkins Glen is 0393 GT, the famous ex-André Dubonnet 250 GT Speciale. It has changed hands in April of this year and was shown at Watkins Glen by Dr. Rick Workman.
It will soon be restored back to the original colors (very deep dark blue, Blu Ultrascuro). This is the Paris 1955 show car, a complete one-off, the only one in the world.
It was last shown at the FCA Nationals in 1993 and Pebble Beach 1993 and shortly thereafter sold to a very discreet collector who kept it in private storage until April 2018.
See also "Cavallino" magazine, issue #64 of August/September 1991.

    Photos by Ken Goldman.

Very cool. It's great to see a car that hasn't been shown in a while.

Thanks Dave & Ken, for first-hand reporting and photos.
If you or anybody else care to share more, it will be appreciated.
Any shots of Daytonas in attendance ?
So far, I only see possible(?) evidence of one, way in the background, in one of Daves photos.
How many cars in total were shown in the concours ?

Thank you for sharing these pictures Dave!!!
How ironic that the French dark blue 1971 365 GTC/4 has police protection and the 250 GTO sits mostly ignored :D

Any pictures of the silver convertible (Series 1 Cabriolet?) in picture number 9 in post #7? It is parked to the left of the (blue on red!) Cal spider?
Less than a dozen Daytona models sounds pretty weak for a feature model at a national event.../
Lovely pale blue on that 355 coupe.

The 250 GTO is not an original. Reproduction. Not sure on which chassis though.

I can't believe I did not take any Daytona photos. It's hard to shoot photos with people walking around. Sorry guys. I'm sure others will chime in an post much better photos than mine. I've heard around 200 cars where in the show. I can tell you, another 50+ where all around in the parking lots.

You probably mean 26 years ago. September 26/27, 1992, during the FF40 meeting, taken at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium.

Plus one of the rare times when a new Ferrari model was introduced at a dealership with the executives present. In this case the new 456 GT wearing Swaters Blue. Plus if you had the key for the basement garage you could have a leisurely preview the night before the big intro...
The appearance of the new 812 at Watkins Glen would have made a good example of road & track use of the new open Ferrari!

Thanks for this info! I love this car; it is the very first Ferrari I ever got a ride in, and eventually was able to drive it a few times.

Thank you for the nice photos.
    Still quite a nice number of 1950s/60s vintage Ferraris there, 212's, 342's, 250 MMs, 250 S1 Cabs and 250 Cal Spiders, 410SA's, 250 GTE's, 250 Europa, 250 Lusso, etc.

Some interesting Daytona models there including a few Canadian examples like the 'condo find' euro coupe and the 1971 Daytona NART coupe. Silver Daytona Spyder is a rare sight to, thank you for sharing your pictures here!
    Almost forgot that silver cabriolet...
