The ten day weather forecast says high of 68, low of 58 with scattered thunderstorms. It's still early though . . . .

Good to hear business is strong. I'd imagine you're entering a busy period running up to the holidays. I'm not one to dissuade people from making hey while the sun is shining, but...it is vintage Ferrari driving season. That oh so glorious time of year when both the driver and the car can be at a comfortable temperature ;)

Above 3500 rpm in 3rd, 4th, or 5th it sounds like a popcorn maker on the right side. I pulled over and checked the plug wires, but no change. Same thing happens if I coast down in gear. Any thoughts?

I have to think it is a loose wire, but they all seemed fine. I’ll head out to the garage after I eat and shake off my funk. Totally bummed right now.

Stock ingnition with caps. Distributors were gone through last year when I had Ken Kales tune it. I still think it had to be something with the wires.

I thought about arcing when I was checking the wires by the side of the road with the car running. Didn’t get shocked, but that could have been dumb luck. Still trying to get my head together to go in the garage. I should be drinking coffee and swapping car stories in Wisconsin right now. My son’s tuba lesson isn’t helping lift my spirits. Think Berlioz.
