Ferrari had that layout as early as Mercedes did. http://myautoworld.com/ferrari/cars/history/1950s/53-monza/53-monza.html
Camilleri words about the new Puro-sangue were: " In order to redefine expectations we will be producing a vehicle which is unique in so many ways", "we will present something never seen before". He added "it will be elegant, powerful, versatile, comfortable, spacious and connected". A vehicle that will be unique in so many ways and at the same time something never seen before is quite intriguing. The Purosangue I imagine after reading the various opinions left here as well as Camilleri above words, is a vehicle that has been developed around the GTC4 existing architecture with all the good things that it already has but with a great degree of originality and innovation.
The door arrangement similar to Mazda RX8 is fine and will allow the car to maintain that 2-doors appearance. The rendering is just horrible...it reminds me of Panamera with higher ground clearance. I think the car under the red cloth cover is just LaF...They are not giving away any hints of what the final car will look like.
Yesterday Ferrari released that sketch of the Purosangue in order to show the various features of the future vehicle. Just for fun I overlapped to a blue GTC4 the car on the sketch and that's the result. Image Unavailable, Please Login
But the wheelbase must be longer, after all is four doors SUV and more spacious, so it has to be more longer

This sketch was part of a slide show and it explains the front mid engine architecture of the future Ferraris. They never associated any model with this sketch but because we see two rows of seats a only be the future successor of the GTC4 or the Purosangue. No they didn't. The sketch is part of a large company slide show and specifically meant to inform about how the future mid engine architecture will be.
Call me crazy. I kinda like it. And I’m sure it will be a big seller in the Middle East. And give it 2 years when you can get one for almost half price you will see a good share of them here also.
Ahahah Absolutely, I perfectly imagine freakin' captain Nemo behind the wheel ! One of the greatests book ever, had so much pleasure reading it in the early 90's
