I dont like. the new Vantage. too flat on the front. Boring. I have a friend in France looking to buy a prior V8 vantage Joey says to get an 06 with manual. I would agree for the value and for a manual but my friend is softening up with age and is looking for an automatic. I am trying to help but know nothing about Vantages. I have quickly done a self education on them. Ended up figuring that the best for him to get would be a 2011-12 Vantage S with 7 speed. Reason being he gets more HPs, the better transmission and a car sorted over the years. Found one very low miles gorgeous 89k euros IMO 10K euros too much. He also wanted a 4 seaters for a small grand kid!! lol, I told him to get a db9 (does not want a v12) or customize new seats in the v8 rear shelve. or drop the kid...
I agree with the 11-12 Vantage and manual. There's no Aston with 4 usable seats. Not even the Rapide. Those rear doors are just for show.

yeah the GT is a real 4 seaters. Had that thought to convey him.. but he is a no go on Masers I also wonder what the heck happened to my title I meant: "What is the Best Vantage V8 MY?" If moderator is around and sees this, thanks for fixing it..
It is indeed a very nice car. May be i should have made clear that he is not looking for a collectible but a driver that is not 30 year old .
This is the best Aston Martin ever, IMO. ...if only the car above had the usual Tan interior instead of Qatar royal combo......
