What Does The Vintage Crowd Think Of The Monza SP1 And SP2

    Interesting effort, but they lack all the lightness of the Scaglietti-bodied Monzas and Mondials (see the pic of 0506MD above). I get that the modern designs incorporate all of the shapes that encourage maximum downforce so that the lightness apparent in the 1950's, non-wind tunnel designed cars will never be achieved, but these two just don't work as an homage, in my view. They just look bloated as compared to the originals. I do appreciate the polished strake across the side vent a la 0464 and 0562MD . . . .

    I actually agree. I actually think the current Miata, from a design standpoint, would make an awesome Ferrari. Just add a killer engine and upgraded materials.

    correction, the Ferrari in post 3 above is not 0506MD, it is 0502M!
