reading Taz's recommendation on upgrading my early 575's shock ECU to one of the following:

    201674
    201673
    197211
    205618
    205619

    and steering ECU, 175891.

anyone know where to purchase one? or just wait for Ebay?

    thanks.

I think Meridian Modena, an official dealership sourced my shock and steering ECU’s from the factory.
It was about 3 years ago so they still had stock then.
My car was a 2003 so they weren’t the latest versions which as you know from as you know from Taz, wouldn’t have worked .

These used to pop up on eBay but now hardly ever. Short of that, shop some of the major vendors as prices can vary. Ricambi, Eurospares, and Ferrparts being some. The latter two offer used parts too.
John Cribb and or Dave “ferraridriver” might have ideas on the steering ECU.

If Daniel at Ricambi does not have them, try Maranello Classic Parts, once part of Maranello Concessionaires in the UK. They are the repository for much of Ferrari's older (2005 and earlier) parts and also have direct contacts with the factory.

Like Bill said, Maranello Skunkworks (Dave and John) can provide a reflashed steering ECU.

We do clones of the 175891 FHP Steering ECU, but can't help you on the rest. PM me for details.

    hi, Taz:

I just want to make sure I can put in late gen shock ECU into my early 2002 575 without setting off the warning light. I've read the shock ECU doc, I believe I can. but Rod at Francorchamps just told me no. may be I misunderstood? thx.

As the notes in my ECU doc state, shock ECUs designed for post-AN 52556 575Ms will give a permanent suspension fault lamp because of a lack of steering position sensor input if used on a pre-AN 52556 575M. The latest shock ECU that will work on early 575Ms is 205619. All the early shock ECUs will work on all the pre-AN 52556 575Ms, late 2001- November 2003 builds.

    hi, Taz:

friend has a 202954. would this fit in a 2002 575M? reading some of your post, I believe this is with steering sensor input. do I get a warning light ?

    thanks

Note 2: HGTC ECU 210578 (or any of the late ECUs) will work fine on pre-Ass. No. 52556 cars, but lack of a Steering Position Sensor ECU input from the Motronic ECU will cause a permanent suspension warning indication.

I recently purchased 175891 from Ricambi for about $500 and 205619 from Eurospares for around $1000. I have not installed either yet so no feedback yet. Took quite a bit of searching to find these! The one from Eurospares took about three or four weeks for delivery.

On my 575M I just installed the FHP Steering ECU (175891) and updated suspension ECU (205619). With Taz's instructions it was a piece of cake. Huge improvement! The "floatiness" appears to be gone and steering effort is much more engaging without a loss of steering feel. I may not need to do springs at all. Just feels right now. Thanks again Taz for your help and recommendations on these updates!

MSW has been supplying clone FHP steering ECU's since 2012. These are exactly the same unit as 175891

Wow. It does look like I got lucky! Not sure how I pulled that off. Those things don't usually work that way for me ;-) However, I think it is still worth it at the $1750. price. Might only get harder to find and more expensive.

If anybody needs parts right now, the pound sterling is in the toilet over Brexit, so buying from Eurospares or Maranello Classic Parts may save you some money.
