Is it just the float? Could the 1 pump be modified to use for both banks?
Yes, the LH has the float. I don't know about other differences. Since we are this topic, the new design apparently has a flaw with the fuel indication. I fill up my car, it goes to 100% the bars. I drive approximately 300 km and the fuel gauge gets stuck at 3 bars. It will never go below that. Once, I ran out of fuel because of that. I am used to filling up once the bars start flashing. I asked my mechanic to double check if he kinked the indicator while installing, but he said that there was nothing blocking the float. So, it is software related ?? Any calibration required ? (for the record, the one time I ran out of fuel, the fuel tank took in exactly 85 liters. Last night I filled up after doing 300 km and it took in 73 liters. I think at 20 liters before empty it should show 2 bars and anything below 75 liters it should show zero bars and blinking. That does not happen anymore in my car)
My 430 has the new updated pumps. I struggle to fill the last bar. I run it down to around 2 bars before filling. Even got down to 1 bar once without issue.
anyone know what the new updates were? I know the new one has a different colored top, beige instead of white but what else was updated? Was it just stronger plastic?
I changed my pump no problems i had a hard time getting the arm in the track but good to go Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

When installing, make sure that the pump is seated within a round indentation at the bottom of the tank, and that the float is behind the baffle. You have to maneuver the pump so that the arm of the float is not bent while inserting the pump into the tank. See 3rd picture.

I installed the new style fuel pump RH and LH now its all over place reading full empty in the middle, only started wend I filled it completely up. Now that I have ran almost a half tank now it seems to be okay ? I was having a hard time filling up with fuel it keeps tripping the gas pump off, so I remove the fuel roll over valve and blew through it seem to me it was sticking so I buy passed it will see wend I go to refill with fuel if it works Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I deleted evap system and using the Challenge vent system it vents threw the rear bumper you can see it on the right side upper corner Image Unavailable, Please Login
if you can try my method: install it again and this time , lean your whole body to the engine. i am 90% sure it is an installation issue.
My car came with mismatched fuel pumps, so I replaced them both and kept the extra new version as a spare. No problems. My car has always been picky when fueling, but I've figured out how to keep the shutoff from triggering early by backing it out and not trying to fuel at full speed. I fill up at half a tank, and everything is accurate from there to full.
Hey 24000rpm I thought the same thing like you said the install was off, It was a pain in the ASS !!! On the coupe is harder than the spider, all those 6mm bolts trying not to drop in the the tank and lining up the float in the tank and smelling gas I had too stick my hand in the tank to make sure the float was good
so the oval flange does need to come off to replace both pumps, right? I thought some people were just replacing it through the circular pump hole itself.
I had to remove the flange on mine it was a coupe. spider might be different Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Just a few words of caution when R/R the pumps. Make sure that the fuel line coupler is installed correctly on the pump outlet nipple. When you hear a click, yank on the coupler a few times to make sure. You don't want a Car-B-Que while driving.
I recently replaced my right hand pump with a left hand version. I simply removed the bits that are different between the two: float etc. Bosch makes them oem and you’ll find they are 1/3-1/4 the cost of the same part in the Ferrari box. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
