I watched most of this episode and I probably should watch the rest before posting. So, Im posting anyway. Wayne hired a new employee from up the street to handle the motor work. They, production company, should have edited better because the impression I got was the guy has no, or very little, experience with Lamborghini V-12's. Impression was that it was the 1st time seeing a 4 liter V-12 Lambo motor. And we've seen this movie before when people with no experience with them...…
I have known that shop to have troubles sometimes and I heavily suggest them pulling the motor and shipping it out. But good luck to them. Just imo.

Well another day, after over 90 hours and still more time to be done. Though I would show when it arrived and today 3 Aug. It is suppose to go the body shop next week. Once that is done, back here to finish stripping paint, then paint work, then the interior guy will do his work. I never would have believed it would have taken this many hours to get it this far. Then again, not all, but most of the screws/nuts/bolts were rusty and really took a bit of time to get them loose, or off, or out.
Every body have a good weekend.

Very interesting to read. Thanks a lot for sharing. Would be great if you could let us know in the end the amount of hours it took.
Polo Storico restored a very early 350 GT about two years ago and it took them about 2000 hours if I remember correctly.

When the body guy gets through, I will post his hours. Then we will have painting hours, then the interior, then suspension hrs. then reassembly hours.
I have already done his engine, and clutch parts, so that is out of the way.
    Everybody have a great weekend.

A small up date. Hard to believe, but so far, and just on this side 6 hours getting the old paint off, and that is just on that fender. That stuff is like GLUE. You hit it with 36 grit and it clogs up in short order. I am even using a wheel that is suppose to make it easy to get the paint off and it clogs up. Well at least we are having fun, yea sure:(:(

It is hard to believe, but am up to around 10 hours just on the front end of the car. Where we have been working, we have stripped car to bare metal, exposing any rust spots, we then are coating it with a rust prof primer. So far we have gone through 25 DA disks with 36 grit on them. Also wore out 2 rotary style tools, just getting into the small cracks and such. It has to be done though. If this was a Pebble Beach resto, I would have taken a total different approach. But the owner, just wants it nice enough to drive, without having to sell the farm to get it done..

    Marcello!

350 GT 0205 was actually last-nut-and-bolt restored by Francorchamps of America Inc, vintage Ferrari & Lamborghini restoration specialists in Southern California over the past 35 years, who happen to have not insignificant experience with Lamborghini GTs.

    Hope you are well.

Hi Joe! Interesting! Sant Agata of America Inc. could be a suggestion.... Only one minor point of critic, the cam covers should be alloy/silver colored on a 3,5 engine, the 4 liter had them black.
But biggest news is that another 350 GT is ready for the road again, truly hope that the new owner will drive it and visit events, for all to admire..
I even would make that one of the selling criteria ;-) Good luck Joe!

wow. that red interior. car looks brand new.

as for the front lights. some seem to have these solid front lights, others seem to have 2 round lights. were these both available at the same time or was there a changover from one being earlier than others.

The 350 GT has the solid front lights, the 400 GT has the other ones. However, there might be some so called "interims" (350 GT body with the 4 liter engine) with the solid front lights.

That silver car with the red interior might be the best looking car I have
Ever seen. When it sells I hope the new owner shares it here.
