I almost bought a yellow 599 a few years back and didn't pull the trigger for some stupid reason. I have been looking for a yellow one ever since. Yellow seems to be an extremely rare color to come by. Can anyone tell me how many yellow 599's were produced?

At the time yellow represented about 3 % of Ferrari production but I'm not sure if the overall production numbers of 599 has been confirmed - try the master production numbers thread

From the stuff that I read Ferrari never gave exact production numbers for the 599. There are estimates and as I recall it is 2000-2500 cars globally but I could have that wrong. 3% would say 60-75 yellow cars globally.

John- I think it was closer to 4000, but nothing to back that up.

I had no idea that the production numbers were so low. So they are less 599's produced that the Ford GT. No wonder the values have stayed so stable over the past year. So I guess now is a good time to buy. I am all in.:)

Thans Taz, I was going from memory but memory is faulty.

Yep, not very many and that was global production. A less than 1/2 come to the US.

Lately, the US has been taking about 28% of Ferrari production.

Definitely more than 3,000 because I have more than 3,000 in my database. I currently have 31 yellow cars ,of which, 9 are US versions.

I got more than 2000 only for EMEA markets which represent 40 % of Ferrari sales, so I always thought we are between 5 to 6000 units. AND 29 yellow in Europe/Middle East, so 75 in the world is quite good. My figures include Gto and Aperta.
I am interested in your database @jtremlett. where are you based ?

It took me nearly a year to find my Giallo Modena 599. A couple hours after I took delivery I bent a rim, so it was a good excuse to put some Vorsteiner wheels on it.

I think yellow is the perfect color for this car, reminds me of my friend's dad's 67 275 in yellow.

That is not just a 275, but a 275 GTB/C with vents behind the rear wheels and a side exhaust. Worth a fortune now.

Just took delivery of my yellow/tan 599 #59012. I must say that it is absolutely breathtaking! Can't believe the attention that it gets. I guess the yellow really sticks out.

I remember the first time he opened the (very small) hood and I thought to myself "did they build the engine in place?" because it sure didn't go in through that opening! :D

@FerrariNashville Great looking car. I doubt anyone has data on how many yellow HGTE. Plus, you need to be more specific, are you talking factory HGTE or dealer installed? Either way, there are not many HGTE cars full stop. Original factory HGTE can probably be counted on your fingers.

The car looks like a factory HGTE to me, but there are a lot of experts here that know WAY more than I know. The car has: correct exhaust, wheels, calipers, and seats (unlikely in a dealer installed car). It is very hard to tell but the tach appears to be white, another indicator that it is a factory HGTE. Personally: The rear splitter looks odd, clearly aftermarket, and I don't like the impact it has on the car's sophisticated look/appeal. Interesting that it has dealer plates on the car.

Yes I’m talking about factory HGTE. Knew there weren’t too many. And yes you’re correct on the aftermarket diffuser but also the side skirts and front splitter, they’re all Hammann. The dealer plate is because the owner owns a few dealerships so he uses the plates on his personal cars
