Totally agree. Ferrari will probably not win another race this year so I don’t see the risk.

 

What I find curious is that when Ferrari had their little run and was up a tenth or two over Merc, Lewis and Toto both referred to performance as “trickery” or in layman’s terms... cheating.

Now not only has Merc made up that tenth or two but have surpassed it by an additional three or four tenths... it’s just food factory work and Lewis being the goat. Curious.

 

At this point I almost feel Merc found a boost and are back to being able to win by just enough that’s necessary. Simply dialing the power in as needed. See where Ferrari are first then dial in that tenth.

 

I agree....I'm not crying foul (nor do I think Chris is, either), just commenting on Toto's childish remark back then but all this has to do with lewis lewis lewis...

So Bottas says he would move over again in the last races, he is just looking forward to the start of 2019 when he has an equal chance to race.

 

verstappen was fantastic. such a mature and great drive.

hamilton just got a gift from totto. shameful. his protestations are hypocritical bs - he could have easily given the position back. he lied.

he is currently the best driver in the best car - but i do not like or respect him.

 

if i were bottas, i would walk into the debrief and ask for $ compensation.

 

Agree...last time I checked lewis is still in charge of the pedals and steering wheel.

forget about the fact that ferrari has no strategy, vettel has debatable skills, and that they shafted kimi....

i watch these days to see how good max and danny can be, and maybe if there are some extraneous events that make the race interesting.

otherwise, this has become dull.

It's rather unfair to trivialise team orders at Mercedes, when they also exist at Ferrari, no?

Or is it only because it's your "béte noire" Hamilton who benefited from it this time?

 

its not the team orders. its that hamilton is crying crocodile tears for bottas, when he could have rectified the result.
the mercedes and hamilton lead is such that they will easily win both the driver and constructors championship.
this just cheapened it slightly.

I haven't seen "Hamilton crying crocodile tears" myself on TV, but perhaps you have private access to him to comment on such things?

 

I think we are now seeing the Mercedes truly was the dominant car all year and Spa was a one off race where they had a problem. Ferrari simply needs to put out a better car next year. Feel for Bottas today, but he has been the wingman all year, his role as support is no different than Kimi’s. The last 2 races have been snooze fest. Max easily drove the best race and it is a shame that he has the Renault PU holding him back.

Lewis's discomfiture seemed genuine. I'm sure Merc/Lewis will give at least one win to Bottas *after* the titles are in the bag. So what I'm hoping for is that they win both titles as quickly and efficiently as possible so that we can see real sportsmanship return to the front of the field. And possibly some real racing... between the Mercs, cos it sure as heck won't involved the Ferraris, the way they've been performing.

You didn't write anything, but posted rather insulting caricatures, following the team orders at Mercedes.

 

No, it is because both Toto and Lewis' fanboys repeatingly stated there is none at Mercedes... at Ferrari they never made a secret out of it. But it is ridiculous that it was pointed out at Schumacher by a few over here like he only won his titles because Irvine and Barichello moved out of the way but the same persons are dead silent when the very same thing happens at Mercedes.
But I guess another "argument" of group44 went down the TOILet this year...
