Looks to me like you have item 73. Item 67 looks like PR161.

I see what you mean. Item 67 (3.0 Bar 137960) requires a hose clamp (Item # 65).

It almost looks like 161 is designed to serve both applications, and that you're just supposed to cut the tube off of the threaded portion if your fuel lines are threaded. I'm not thrilled with the prospect of generating a bunch of filings that can get into the mechanism but you could always fill the tube with oil based clay before cutting and then use solvent to wash the clay out after you're finished.

Personally, I'd be hunting Bosch or some other brand anyway. Seems like I recall the Bosch part number being NLA but it'd at least be worth a search. Even if I were trying to keep the car as original as possible I think I'd rather do something like Tim did than to use Standard FPRs since they're no more original than Tim's adjustable regulators. Even on more significant cars like Daytonas you sometimes have to stray from originality for the sake of practicality.

 

The threaded part on 161 is actually there to hold the nut on the support, if you cut off the barbed part you still won't have enough thread!
Superformance doesn't have the part and I just called NAPA in NY to see if they can get the Echlin part for me. He said things are looking grim but will have news for me in an hour or so.
WTF!!! Why is this bloody part so hard to find, even in aftermarket! Wish my car had the 3.0bar FPR lol

Edit: NAPA in the US can't seem to get it either.

 

When I bought my fpr it actually was listed for a '92 Mondial T (same difference as a 348 because it's still an F119 block) and NAPA has the fpr for sale at $67.95. The NAPA part number they have listed is CRB 219624. It is the 55.1psi/3.8bar version with the treaded fittings on both ends. Here is the link https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/CRB219624

 

Thanks Ernie, that's exactly what I used when I contacted NAPA in NY. They said they don't have it and can't get it.
I'm going to be in LA this weekend so if there are any autoparts I can check out there, I'll gladly go there.

Edit: Just called NAPA in LA and they told me the same thing as NY, discontinued and unobtanium.

Well I just got off the phone with my local NAPA store and then have 1 in stock in the store. However, they said that is the only one they are showing, that another one isn't even shown in the warehouse.

Not in LA. It's by my place in Indy.

 

I called up the NAPA store in Van Nuys, CA and they are saying that the fpr is not available anywhere in the US. They said it was on factory back order. So it looks as though the only one available is in the store in Indy.

 

Here's your thread on the same, and it also shows where you converted from the fuel hose to a fuel line (as per the later cars). In other words, upgrade from 3.0 to 3.8 Bar.

I just got a call back from my local NAPA as well. Same thing, NLA.

However, they said that it cross references to, and actually is, the Standard PR298.

So I called Standard directly. The switchboard transferred me to their tech department, and that dude wasn't interested in helping at all. But he did say that the PR was made in Mexico, and he had no way to determine any status (still in production, order status, or anything on logistics).

Question: How do you know if your vehicle requires the older 3.0 bar or the newer 3.8? My 92 348 currently has the PR161 so it should be 3.0 bar but what if the previous owner has the wrong one on there? Is there something on the ECU version that actually determines what you should have?

 

3.0 Bar (137960) up to Engines:...USA 25013...EU 27843..........Thereafter: 3.8 Bar (147281)

 

That's interesting. My engine number is 28083, Australian vehicle but it looks like I have the 3.0 Bar Standard Motor Products PR161 regulator on there.
