I saw this holder on Harry's reviews on YouTube. it was a RHD car. anyone know about this part? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Seems like that was an option RHD cars only. It can be found in the parts manual, but apparently cannot be ordered...
The RHD cars have the shifter centered and because of that, they don’t have the slot for the phone. They probably fit Ericsson and some Nokias, but definately not todays smart phones. I installed a small very practical adjustable holder that works for all kinds of phones! One side of it is spring loaded and the phone snaps right in. Works for most every type of use of the phone. I still have the slot to put a pen or something else. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Come on! In 1996, most everybody had a vell phone. I did and I was 14 years old... my first was a Ericsson GA628. The first where you could put on different colored back plates around the buttons. It was the first Ericsson that you did not have to take the battery off to charge it... And it had an antenna that usually broke if you had it in your pocket. Some things change to the better. I know a few cars had a hard wired telephone connected to your own. My 2002 XK8 has a GSM mobile inside the center armrest. Quite handsome solution. It looks like it is working, but never tested it. But i have never seen that in a Ferrari of this age. Nokia had a very clean solution with «privacy set» with a spiral cord. That is more like it! Bill had a very nice rear box made. He shared the plans on Fchat in this forum many years ago. It was leather covered and all. It looked like it belonged to the 550

My car has a built-in mobile - sorry cell phone (no longer connected). I've never seen another car with it although I'd be most interested to know if anyone else has. In the picture it is just below (to the left of) the gear lever where the ashtray would normally be. Image Unavailable, Please Login
yes I still have notes on it. i think he had it made by prestige... ramon? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using FerrariChat.com mobile app
That’s really neatly integrated. I have seen on the Japanese market Mercedes systems similar which replace and incorporate other functions such as AC controls. I presume carried out by the Japanese importer as standard equipment for Japan. European cars usually had a box with a handset between the seats, and later as someone else said Nokia phones installed into a centre armrests. Is your car Japanese?
Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login This is the kind of phone and navigation installs you could get in Japan in the same period. European S Class had a single din radio. All Japanese S Class had these as standard, which made me think your installation may be from the Japanese importer if not aftermarket.
I am not finding the plans by using “search”. Would it be possible for someone to repost them? Thanks.
