    I didn't even know of an automobile named the Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire... that name was used on their turbojet engine that was manufactured at the same time.
    Used on many Brit planes and licensed (licenced?) in the US for many of our planes also.

    Produced between 1947 and 1982 the Citroën HY was a very popular van in France and some other European countries. Even today there are quite a lot around, often used as mobile shops or restaurants.

    Metropolitans were made in England for Nash.
    Were essentially re-bodied Austins, which was part of BMC, like the Mini.
