So it appears that the resale market is now flush with nice 720S options. Most are priced $30-40,000+ less than original MSRP. My question is, what are the actual transaction amounts? At some point, these cars will transition from the currently undeniable value to an absolute no brainer need to add one to the fleet value.

My dealer contact tells me they’ve sold some resale 720s, mainly guys who bought early launch cars and are trading out for the convertible or a 600lt, and none have sold for under $300k regardless of sticker. They’re also trading wholesale for $295k as a base car a couple weeks ago at Manheim to $320k for a $345k sticker car.

Im in the market for one and have been actively working to get the right spec. The high option ones with a bunch of carbon and msrp of 375-400k are the ones that are tanking. These all have high cost carbon and you never get that back on resale.

The sweet spot for a 720 seems to be in the 330-340k msrp. This has all the reasonable options one would want and these are trading in the 320-325k range from what I can tell.

There are a couple out there for under 300 but these seem to be low spec cars with a lot of miles.

All in all, it seems that the 720 is faring much better than its predecessors.

Thats because the 730s or 750 s or whatever hasn't come out yet. Don't worry... im sure mclaren will muck it up. LOL I say this all joking... I just don't trust it. The moment the sales dip the next face lift and 20hp is right around the corner

Yup. No different than any other brand. Have you seen resale values for 488?

Well thats not QUITE the same...

488 values dumped before the next model has even been spoken about! LOL.

Ferrari is just in a rough patch on cars... they really are. The game has changed... and they didn't.

From what I see the 720S has started on it's inexorable depreciation. Seems like retail is about $300K or so for low mileage carrs. As a data point Miller Motorcars in Connecticut has a 3K mile 2019 asking $319K or about $25K off sticker. 2018's a little less.

Remember the car has only been on the ground in the US maybe 18 months so it takes a little time for prices to slide - butt that's now started and will move progressively lower IMO.

Also 720 track pack recently announced followed by an LT version next year etc. - you get the picture......

I toyed between 720 and Performante so talked to a lot of dealers recently and saw a lot of deals. I ordered Performante instead.

Was offered 10% off an order 720s. Don't waste time with West Coast dealers. East coast is your friend (and if you can wait two months you will see some incredible deals come December). I think you could steal one from desperate dealer for $280'ish...snow and exotic cars make for best deals :)

Used all depends on original MSRP. Have seen $370 cars go for $305. $330 cars are right about the $300 range. Those are retail numbers. Wholesale you are seeing $280's. Friend in Houston has $355 sticker one he cannot wait to dump and was offered between $270-$280.

San Fran has a 4k mile nice spec/rims for $289 (they will take $275 if you sweet talk them).

Deals are a plenty--let you fingers to the dialing and talk to right people.

Good luck with hunt--it's a fast car.

He dumped it two weeks ago on trade for Performante--I was VERY tempted on it but was white. Dealer didn't even want to take it, and his offer was insane. He wholesaled it out.

Funny thing I have Performante on order, but damn SoCal's thread has me wanting to scratch Mac itch...

The best thing to do is just find a car you like and make an offer you want to pay. Worst case they will just say no. Don't be afraid to insult a dealer -- it can't be done.

Does anyone know what low mile 2019 720 are wholesaling at now? I’m interested in getting one. Some dealers are asking around $290k now. Should I wait longer?

2018's are wholesaling around 250-260 and the 19's are around 270-290 depending on spec. Keep in mind the options vary quite a bit. You can buy a car that listed at around 330K used for ~290K, a 370K MSRP car might sell in the low 300's. I imagine it really depends on how particular you want to be on the spec.

For reference my 18' high spec just retailed for $330K but it was a hot car with full PPF, downpipes and exhaust. Not a mark on it.

I see quite a few 2019 with an asking price in the 290s. I’m looking to pay less than that. This will be my 1st supercar purchase. I’m willing to wait for the right deal. I’m thinking the 2020 models are already out and the new Ferrari F8 is trying to persuade potential 720s buyers with its 720 hp. So I think the price could go lower.

As I said the price greatly depends on spec, some have low msrp's and those are likely the cars advertised n the 290's. 2020's won't be out for another 3 to 4 months but yeah you can keep waiting. Also, the F8 may get some buyers but I think mostly from the existing Ferrari buyers. I didn't really consider it but you never know. Good luck.
