Just saw an ad in Europe, seller claims it is the last Mondial. VIN xxx0097733 Can anyone verify or dispute?
Do you have the rest of the VIN? That will determine what market it was intended for. Also, Cab or Coupe - Wiki says Cab: Mondial t Coupe: Production started: 1988. Production ended: 1993. Total production: 858 (45 Right Hand Drive) - 43 Imported to US/CA First serial number: 79596. Last serial number: 97698. Mondial t Cabriolet: Production started: 1989. Production ended: 1993. Total production: 1,017 (51 Right Hand Drive) - 379 Imported to US/CA First serial number: 80399. Last serial number: 97733. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_Mondial
He didn't post the rest of it but sounds like he's correct, that it is the last one. It's a Euro Cabriolet.
Any other source that wikipedia about the first Mondial T Cabriolet #80399 ? Some know/have VIN confirmation ?
My go-to book (it's on my shelf), Keith Bluemel's Original Ferrari V8, states (on page 79): Mondial t cabrio 1989-93, Chassis number range 80339-97733 (1017 built).
Ok Wade, but look at your previous post : You talking about 80399 Bluemel list #80339 as the first Mondial T Cab, but OTTO & Cavallino Magazine list #80399. I think Bluemel is right and the magazine have typo error. I just want to confirm that. If some have document or photo ...
I don't think the first s/n has ever been resolved. Here's an interesting thread from 2011 if you haven't seen it... https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/first-mondial-3-4-t.329733/#post-140649190
An internet search of the VIN comes up completely blank for Bing and DuckDuckGo. And Google only shows some grainy little photos from a CZ website ("This sports car has already been sold") - a red Cab with red leather interior.
