Which team is going to move there? I can't imagine they'd add a team. They'd have to add two at a minimum. T
^Maybe. I vaguely recall that some team was unhappy with their stadium deal. Seattle? They could probably steal the As from Oakland! T
I'll believe it when I see it. People are trying to bring the NBA here too, which has a much better chance than baseball, IMO. I think Vegas would have a hard time filling an MLB stadium day after day unless the team was amazing. Baseball is big here, but baseball fans are not rabid like hockey fans, and with football coming, the market could become over saturated real fast.
I think it is all hype myself. Caesers wants to sell the Rio property and will retain the WSOP. The timing coming into the MLB World Series coming up is rather suspicious IMHO. I do think the Fertittas are a strong potential buyer of the Rio property.
I think it is too soon for another major sports team. People really need to give the Knights and the Raiders time to see how things play out. If anyone brought a team here before the Raiders have been here for 5 years, I really think it would be a mistake.
I agree. There's a big, big difference between filling a 17,250-seat hockey arena 41 times and a 40,000+ seat baseball stadium 81 times. I am not ignoring filling a 65,000-seat football stadium, but that is only 8 times and football is unique in terms of how they can draw fans.
