    Dear friends,

Tomorrow will start a new edition of Autoclásica here in Argentina. Like every year, the event is going to be full of different kind of cars, motorcycles, people, autojumble, etc.

For the argentinians, we all know that this weekend of October is a must Autoclasica, the best event for classic cars in Latin America.

This year it´s gonna bring something great. 2 of the best collections of the country (cars and motorbikes) will show both together in a private tent, some of the best racing motorcycles in the world with some amazing racing cars.

The star of the show will be 0322 AM.

You will be able to check all the motorbikes and cars that will be shown at this tent here, a work amazingly done by Cris Bertschi: https://www.thecarbox.com/autoclasica/index.html

Attached you will find some photos for the photoshoot of 0322 AM, and tomorrow you will probably have real life photos of it from the event.

I seem to recall that a Dr. Martinez brought 0322 (and maybe a sister car?) to SoCal to sell after it's racing career ended. At my age the memory is not to be trusted! Does this sound correct? What a great car!

The best Ferrari in Argentina is still the 250 LM that was shown at autoclassica 3 or 4 years ago?

The factory issued their Certificate of Origin for 0322 AM on the 7th October 1953.
On the 9th October 1953 the factory sold 0322 AM together with sister car 0320 AM to Tullio Pacini of the Pacini & Boncompagni dealership in Rome.
Thereafter it went to Franco Cornacchia, not before.
George Bell sold it in November 1965 to Roy Behrens.
Behrens sold it to Kirk F. White in 1970.
Rick Busenkell then claimed to own it for a few years.
Cunningham got it 1974, advertised it then for sale in the NY Times 10 February 1974.

When Albert Obrist got the car he had it totally restored 1986/87 by Carrozzeria Fantuzzi in Modena and the mechanicals were done by Sauro Mingarelli in Bologna.

0322 AM shortly after restoration by Fantuzzi and Sauro.
Albert Obrist rented Monza racetrack and spent time driving the 375 MM, the 312 PB, the 250 LM, the 315 S, the 250 GTO, the 330 P4 and others.

I have a passion love for the 250LM, so while 0808 is objectively the best due to its history, I would still take the LM keys over it :)

Not Medardo Fantuzzi' shop (he passed away July 1986), but his son Fiorenzo Fantuzzi's.
The man in the red clothing is Franco Ferrari (no relation to factory), a former postman, who turned into a panelbeater at Fantuzzi's. Once Fiorenzo Fantuzzi closed his shop in Modena, Franco Ferrari opened up his own coachbuilding business, he is still active today and his son even posted a bit on fchat re a 250 SWB.

Do you have the name of the man with the blue clothing ? I saw them at work during my different visits at the shop.

No doubt I confused this car with one of its sisters when I referenced Dr.Martinez. Roy Behrens was a friend; he was a pilot on a small airline that ferried people to Catalina Island and back. He would show up in this car at FOC meets, back in the day.
