It does look very nicely done. I wonder how far they went with the stiffening, double floors etc.

Maybe I'm wrong, but if someone cut the roof, it's not a restoration. Or is it?

This isn't a marques specific concourse and then it would probably still win I know the guys (in green T shirts in the last picture) who did the restore and it would have been done absolutely correctly, and don't forget the factory did have conversion kits at one time, it was authentic and that's what the judges look for, there were 21 cars in concourse of the year 4 where Maserati's

The factory never offered a conversion kit. My understanding is they took legal actions against those that were offering conversions, including Campana.

There are real spyder and then there are fake spyders ... this is a fake spyder. Pretty it is ... real it is not.

It may be a fake spider, but I would LOVE to have this parked in my garage...

Whilst speaking of cut cars I'm seeking information on a car for a local owner. He has no definite knowledge of when, where or whom created his.

Couple more questions pertaining to this cut car.
-Is the top the same as a factory car? Owner is looking to replace the one on the car. For that matter does anyone actual make/sell a top for these? I figure we will probably have to clone the one on it, but maybe not?
-Owner is also interested in converting to power steering. Any leads? Anyone done the electric conversion on a Ghibli?
    Thanks
