So bought my first Fcar after much debate...been working on cars initially as a necessity then as a hobby to fuel my racing addiction...
I always say you're only as good of a mechanic as the worst car you've owned....while on a budget.

My first car was a Mazda RX7 and EVERYTHING broke. I was in high school. I couldn't afford to pay a shop to fix it when seemingly you plug one hole and simultaneoulsy another leak sprouts. So I no choice but to learn to fix her myself.

Moved into racing 4 cycl Honda's with nitrous then turbo, then corvettes, and finally now a small flatplane V8 Fcar.

Met some nice people already on the forum and around town on the way to learning about this car, thanks to everyone that helps each other along the way!

Since then I've gotten older and the race bug is out and now I'm more interested in enjoying a car as a mechanical moving piece of art....

So here's my beater....Euro Spec, 36K, in need of some TLC.

Here's some before pics and I'll post more of the TLC along the way, enjoy!

cheesy sticker had to go...debated leaving her without a shield since the fenders are not frenched...but the cavallino rampante is such a nice little piece of artwork. And it made me look up Francesco Barraca for those who haven't heard of him

Welcome to the [F]old... always nice to have another wrench turner on board. I think about half the 360/430 owners here have done at least basic maintenance.

They were and are unfortunately quite cheap, a seller on ebay in South America...looking to upgrade them, they are very flimsy and slide all over the place despite having a few teeth on the bottom.

    Thank you!!

I had the seat restored at this little shop here in San Antonio called M4 restoration.

I did the memory foam stuffing myself. :)

    Crazy but so true!
It's hard to have scale of just how big Texas is until you drive all the way through it! I struggle to keep the car fueled up and from falling asleep with the leg between San Antonio and El Paso!

Sweet project! My airbag leather is warping also. How easy was it to remove the airbag? Did the shop find matching leather to re-wrap it with?

TIme to re-wire the stereo correctly, who ever did it never hooked up the 12v constant so I'd loose all the presets every time you turned off the car. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Time to fix some paint...the rear bumper looked silly maybe FLY yellow of just not enough paint at one point....too bright.
