That is great news.
When you're in the less than 2.5 second 0-60 times, who cares? Where can you actually exploit the potential of any of these?? I know what some of you are going to say: The track. At which point I would reply - GET A REAL TRACK CAR!!! But seriously, have fun in whatever you'd like to drive. For me, I've always been able to recognize the significant differences between a real track car and any, yes any, road car.
right, Harry Potter spec Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login (I will confess I do kinda like it. gold wheels are hard to resist)
Haha. I didn’t get the reference. It’s actually a tribute to the Alan Mann Racing livery. He’s a fan as you might expect. Apparently JK Rowling was an Alan Mann fan too. https://www.alanmann.co.uk/iconic-cars Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wonder if Ford will be sending out reminder notices on Nov 8th to those unsuccessful in the first round? Why not just pick 350 more "winners" from the applications already on file?
I know of 3 in Europe right now for around 850/900k Euros. Then there were 2 or 3 in the US on the open market.
To add, I believe there is roughly 4-5 cars being openly shopped around in the European market. (Just from what I’ve been sent) More I’m sure are hush hush. Most of the EU cars I’ve been shown were being offered in the ballpark of 1.2-1.35M £. I’m assuming the prices you have are the updates for the current market.
Although I don’t know which specific cars are being referred to, keep in mind that some of the brokers “shopping cars” actually have no cars to shop. Also, the number of known cars being offered is small, certainly small enough that no conclusion can be reached that the allocation process was a failure. In any event, this stuff goes on all the time with low supply/high demand cars. Nothing new here.
Oh yes, 100%. I totally agree with you about the allocation process. So few known issues and you’re never gonna be able to weed out all the rotten apples. I applaud Ford’s effort for getting these cars into the hands of people, that somehow tick a box or multiple boxes for what they wanted owners to do with these cars.
