Will a Ferrarichat membership ALWAYS get you a Lamborghinichat membership? OK never mind. For those of us who own multiple marques it's nice the way it is. Hopefully the extra steps won't make it more difficult? You're going to lose some folks. Certainly not the high roller Lambo folks though. Follow the money. I will miss the complete mix of the Italian marques seen here. That's been a very nice and unique thing as well as a strong lure for some of us. Et tu Maserati?
Just like today, it can always be free to use LamborghiniChat. Any main model forums and Lamborghini on topic will be free. A few private forums and classifieds will be 4 cents a day. Again, you can get a 5 year subscription now and it will be good for a new car forums we do in that time.
please send me a conversation if you would like to test the new LamborghiniChat. FYI the environment is our production environment, so the posts will go live when the site does. only a couple more bugs remaining and then there will be a final move of posts. thanks!
any users that want to take a look and offer some feedback: http://www.lamborghinichat.com/ login: lambo password: lamboprod345 ...then use your regular login. remember the data will be in production, so just post what you want to keep.
I find the white text on yellow buttons a bit harsh and lacking contrast - had you considered black on yellow instead?
let me check, we did have our master designer approve, but I forgot what was approved and if it was implemented. thanks.
Using Classic Lamborghinis (V8 and V12 GT) as an example: Instead of clicking the model specific category to find out what models are in it, best to add the models for those looking, but are unfamiliar, with what has a V-8, what models are GT that have V12. Basically add the "Lamborghinis before 1989 - 350/400 GT, Islero, Espada, Jarama, Urraco, Silouhette, Jalpa" to the forum specific page. Same for the 3 others catagories below it.
I am not sure a General section and model specific is a good mix. There are threads in the general that is model specific and more. Other than that, I like it. I like that there will be its own classified and Tech Q&A
Sorry, but I don’t like the breakdown.. when it comes to “models”, what’s wrong with naming the specific models? I don’t want to click on “midengine v-12s” because I don’t care about Murcia or Avent or hardly Diablos.
that's a huge problem, there has never been a consensus how people want Lamborghini models broken down and each person is very vocal about it and gets out right mad if it doesn't go their way. I am still kind of pushing for keeping single model forum to start like we have here. Once conversations take off and grow more we can analyze how the discussions are divided.
Hmm, I figured it would have the same classic options we have here. If not implemented now, that is something we can do in future pretty easy. Thanks.
Really? Where is that happening, privately? You asked how we would suggest models be broken down, some of us have taken the time to suggest, I don't see anyone getting mad whatever the consensus, not in this thread at least. I say just do it whatever way you like and then see how it works out.
You don’t remember when we did model break down here? Lasted maybe a month. You were probably one of the biggest bitchers, but I can’t remember.
Ha, I don't remember either, refresh my memory. If I commented, I'm certain it was constructive, informed and based on experience with the marque for decades
Generally, I could care less whether people see it my way or not, that’s not why I’m here. What I care about is posting well-researched, accurate, and useful historical or technical information that ends up helping to build a true resource for any particular model or variant, and also helps the value of the site overall, and any recent comment from me regarding new sections has just that in mind. People can react however they feel, agree or disagree, all is good. Meanwhile, never mind the past, let’s focus on the present and the future, that’s what matters.
Well people have an interest in the make but more specifically a certain model.. probably one they own.. they want the least amount of clicking around to get to the topics for THAT car.. once they are caught up and have time is when they branch out to read other topics of interest.
Joe, stop being stupid. I said any change in the forum setup would cause conflict and disagreements in the community. You disagreed as long as we implemented changes as you see fit: I disagree, there will be people upset no matter what we do expect maybe leaving as is.
