Hello I have a 1985 Testaarossa, does anybody have any ideas for the defunct Torrix switches for both the left and right window controls.?? Mine have just worn out. Windows were getting very slow., finally quit working.

Also, lost my instrument panel lights I checked all the fuses and they are okay. Any ideas of what might be wrong.?

thanks for your help out there.

Are you sure it was the SWITCH that made your window slow?

There have been many issues with the motors and the mechanism as well.

Do you have the instrument light dimmer rheostat turned up (and/or have you tried giving it some rotary wipes)?

You can take the switches apart very easily and clean the contacts, and they will work good as new. However keep on mind, the voltage drop across the switch is horrendous even when new.

Once the switch is repaired, I would be heading into the door, and have a look at those motors. If they are drawing too much current through the switch, you will burn the contacts in the switch again in a short time. Also make sure the relays are an good order too.

The other problem with the windows is: the grease in the motors turns to hard like wax. The motors need disassembled and newer synthetic grease installed.
