After almost 2 months I’ve just received them at home, can’t wait to get them fitted! Waiting for the oem gaskets to do a proper lasting job.

It’s a win win, slight more power, -5kg weight, better sound and best part, temperature drastically reduced on the engine bay.

    Well, first impressions.

Forza Componenti valve controller is an amazing product, top quality, real plug and play and good value for money. Sound on Speciale with valves opened and sport cats is unbelievable. I do have a video but it weighs 30Mb and cannot upload it...

Sport catalyst weren’t as easy to fit as we figured out for various reasons but mainly the Headers had to be also removed as in the factory -I guess to make easier and faster the fitting of full line preaaembled in a row- as wr found welding points btw cats and headers and we had to cut it with much love.

After first fire up engine bay is slighty Smokie and smelly and comes from the exhaust a light black smoke but it is just a matter of time to disappear. The temperature on the engine bay is dramatically reduced, main personal reason to choose this configuration. Weight of oem cats is a joke. Come on Ferrari...

I enjoyed the opportunity that rear bumper was out to place a thermal barrier on the lower side of the airbox to reduce intake temperature; by the way, it is not carbon made, just the upper case that is the eye catcher.

I know I won’t take the most out of the new setup until some kilometers passes by and ECUs learns the new values. Probably a battery reset will also help after some miles and heating cycles.

Waiting on a set of new spark plugs and a less restrictive BMC air filter to complete the sport cats and Forza valve controller.

    Will try to upload video.

    Nice!
What brand did you buy ? NR only make 100cel

Why reduced temp? I have 100cel on my F12 and it’s definitely not reduced any temps....

    Thanks

Did you not do an ECU remap to avoid codes being thrown ?

    Hi,

The sport cats are UK Larini, no error codes at all.

Well, the oem 800 cells are super restrictive and temperature coming from them on the engine bay was very very high even just at idle. Now is simply hot but there’s a huge difference. Also the goldish outside look you can see in the photos is a heat barrier applied on the them by Larini team.

A friend of mine put them on a 599 that was like a oven at full power inside the cabin before; after the fitting of the sport cats no heat at all coming from the floor.

And do not forget the weight loss either...

Regarding cats manufacturer I guess either NR nor Larini have in house R&D. HJS is a very good and reliable cat manufacturer. Maybe you could ask NR and Larini if they source from them or fitting cheap chinese builds...

For my 812 I‘m considering cats or a simple back box switch with Capristos (it‘s identical to F12 back boxes).

Today I picked up the car and I’m impressed, Heat on the engine bay is high yet but not massive like before and sound with sport cats and valves on is like the car should sound like from day one... what a toy. Engine seems to breathe freely now. Admission noise is slightly increased with BMC air filter.

By the way, as promised, no cels at all on the dash so far.
