Just a quick intro as the besotted new custodian of John Pogson's Silver QV, as featured in this film: Drove it back from Italia Autosport yesterday - 350+ miles from the beautiful Peak District down to Cornwall. And she didn't miss a beat. Love it already... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congratulations!! And what a storied car (many of us here are quite familiar w/ that video). Take care of her. Forza Mondial!! Temple

Congratulations! I cannot begin to tell you the number of times that I've watched that video. It cemented my commitment to finding a Mondial Coupe. Your car is the perfect color combo. I was just telling a buddy of mine on a bike ride this morning that silver with red, tan, or blue interior would be the perfect colors for a Mondial. Again, congratulations. What a wonderful machine! 2cam
Thanks 2cam. Yes, I love the colour scheme. Feel very lucky to have prised the car from John. Definitely more about 'custodianship' than 'ownership', though...
Wow that car looks awesome! Enjoy! I remember the video too. "It's a cool car" My first Ferrari was a Mondial 8, back in 1993.
Congratulations! IIRC from the video, Pogson mentioned that he used different alignment specs from stock. If, when you get to an alignment shop, would you post what the Pogson's specs are? I would love to try them on my gray market euro qv, over here in the States. She's due for an alignment.
I've also watched that video several times. It is one of the main reasons I have set a Mondial as my first exotic car goal. Congratulations on your new car, especially one with such a great back story and ownership. I'm sure with his ownership, the car is properly sorted and was well cared for.
Thanks all. The car will continue to be looked after by Italia Autosport and is due back there in July 2019. Will report on alignment specs then. The service history is a joy to behold: 1985 Greypaul Motors Ltd 1985 Greypaul Motors Ltd 1986 Greypaul Motors Ltd 1987 Greypaul Motors Ltd 1988 Greypaul Motors Ltd 1990 Greypaul Motors Ltd 1991 Greypaul Motors Ltd 1992 Greypaul Motors Ltd 1993 Greypaul Motors Ltd 1994 Greypaul Motors Ltd 1996 Greypaul Motors Ltd 1997 Italia Autosport 1999 Italia Autosport 2000 Italia Autosport 2001 Italia Autosport 2002 Italia Autosport 2003 Italia Autosport 2005 Italia Autosport 2006 Italia Autosport 2007 Italia Autosport 2008 Italia Autosport 2009 Italia Autosport 2010 Italia Autosport 2011 Italia Autosport 2012 Italia Autosport 2013 Italia Autosport 2014 Italia Autosport 2016 Italia Autosport 2018 Italia Autosport Still going through the history folder but it looks like she's on her 12th set of belts at least!
Now that’s a proper service history!! Holy cow!! Wish all Mondials got that level of love/appreciation. Temple
Congrats, not only do you own a great car but you can drive it in my favourite location! I’ve often wanted to take mine down as part of our annual holiday to Cornwall and drive it at sunset on the Padstow to Newquay coast road (although may get squeamish re paintwork on the narrow bits!). Was it the video which made you buy a Mondial and did you then chase that specific car? Love to hear more on how you prized what appeared to be a very special car to him, from him.
Well, I wanted to get into the Ferrari marque (I've got a few Porsches and recently sold a TVR 450 SEAC), and assumed my way in would be via a 360 Modena. Then I saw a 308 alongside a Modena and decided I'd rather go 'classic'. Came across John's brilliant films and suddenly remembered that Italia Autosport was based in a village I lived in 25 years ago. I used to walk past it, penniless, most days - imagining the lives that those F40 and Dino owners must lead! I got in touch with John for some advice on a couple of nice Mondials that were on the market at the time. We talked on and off over a couple of months and I went up to see his own example (360+ miles away). One thing led to another. I think we were both surprised. We agreed a dowry payment and I was admitted to the family!!
