Great post...and and what a display from Ferrari/Italy. In my travels (as a design, clothing, fabric, craftsmanship, modern furniture geek) Italy and Japan are really the stand out countries. Incidentally our Lusso T turbo charger castings are done in a small (and beautifully traditional) town in Japan so the link is there under our hoods. I also like the idea of indoor Lusso storage, will run it by my wife...
The presentation of these 'tailor made' Ferrari models in this event seems to represent a refinement of a local market tradition for some time now. Several important markets like the USA and Japan have been given exclusive models for customers in their countries to purchase in limited numbers. Japan previously had the special maroon 512 and the Cornes Blue Edition 612 as two examples. However these various models were all built to the same color and trim specification. There was also the unique design of the J50 car for "50 Years of Ferrari in Japan" to. Now Ferrari is going a step further with 'one of one' spec examples for in this case the Lusso T. Also with the added cachet of a 'tailor made' build spec. Last December FNA presented five different 'tailor made' editions of the 488 GTB exclusive to USA buyers. Prior to that was the F60 NART edition again exclusively for USA buyers which was well received. Ferrari has really refined their marketing strategy to a new level with these highly focused niche marketing programs.
Shocking number of V8TT Taylor made Lusso's one would think V12 would be better suited At the end of the day "why didn't you get a 12" is going to be asked with annoying frequency
It is not just the 12 cylinder question but also the all-wheel drive that is also deleted for the V8 spec. However the same "why didn't you get a" question could be asked of V6 buyers for the 488 replacement who didn't get a V8 engine, so it is all relative depending on where you end up...
That's fine, we don't get annoyed however many times we have to say "because this one is more fun to drive"

Very nice. Thank you. I cannot see passenger display in any of the cars! At least not with the previous format.
