I missed represented the power bump by mistake,.

It picked up between 10-18 wheel depending on gear but picks up almost 40# TQ through the mid-range, biggest difference is throttle response is sharper bc of the reduction in back pressure and you hear much more turbo noise.

    In the meantime. https://www.dropbox.com/s/nx4ikdkmnttdlye/Mclaren 720 Updated.mp4?dl=0

Sounds way better. I’ll be curious to see if you see any improvement from your 5.3 second 60-130. I’m thinking it’ll be slight. Although if you only have one person in the car I figure you might get 5-5.1. Looking forward to seeing what you can do.

I think I’m good. I have the upgraded exhaust on mine. Will use it for a bit and then explore if I want to upgrade.

So did I and it sounds pretty good, actually got better over time but still not too aggressive compared to comparable cars.

sounds awesome! like a 430 challenge car. naturally aspirated without turbo notes. fantastic.
is it a muffler delete system? just sport cats? is there a quiet/loud mode?

No muffler, basically straight pipes as shown with Cats. No valve controller but it is not ridiculously loud unless you get in it. Just buzzing around not much different.

sounds great but amazing how much 'exotic car tax' can be on aftermarket parts. what do you think their cost of manufacture is? i would guess $200.

The metal isn't too expensive but labor is another story. There is also the R&D time added to each system. Margins must be very good though.

i would believe R and D for the cats. those are expensive and are probably subject to regulations but a muffler bypass is just a tube. i looked into an exhaust for my gtr about 7 yrs ago and most were around 4k. i took chance on an ebay knock off for $400. worked great at 10% of the cost.

The sound, installation quality, warranty remaining intact. All worth the price. Any performance difference you see is icing on the cake for the sound improvement.

Don't assume that just because an authorized dealer installed it that it doesn't void warranty. I guarantee you that if a serious issue occurred, and it could be traced back to the aftermarket exhaust as the cause, your warranty would not cover it. Check your warranty booklet for confirmation.

Why would an exhaust void warranty? Please give examples of serious issues caused by an aftermarket exhaust. I have had about 40 to 50 (lost count) cars and upgraded many of them and never had an issue, I am curious to hear your experience.

Fwiw when I bought my NSX I called my Acura dealer to install an aftermarket exhaust and they told me it would void my warranty and could not. Mclaren is far easier to deal with in terms of modifications though.

    I agree.

I’ve never heard of an exhaust change voiding a warranty, except for coverage of catalytic converters.
