    Hey Everyone,

I visited my 512TR today and started her up to get things warmed up and running. The car starts on the first turn of the key after sitting for 2 weeks and sub zero weather. It all sounds normal and I wished I didn't have to turn it off.

On topic, my car gives me no issues. I have put on 12k miles in the last 28 months of ownership. The consumables were the tires, oxygen sensors, wiper blades and oil. The 512TR is an excellent design.

I've had my Rolex 12 years now and never had it serviced. It keeps time just like it should. ;)

Sorry if my message came accross the wrong way. I wasn't complaining about the Diablo's cost, just pointing out it happened to be more than what the TR's bill would have been for the same service. Re-emphasizing the high costs of 12 cylinder exotic ownership for the OP. I don't make a lot of money but I am one of those guys that understands the price and costs to maintain the "dreams" we are all living. Life is too short.

I find it kinda sad to see all those arguments.
We are all car lovers and each cars are different.
    I personally appreciate them all.
Now i am sorry but all the prices around the testarossa maintainenance also all depends where u get it done. Here in the bay area if i go to ferrari of SF will cost. 10k easy, i go to roselli garage the best in the business here ill pay 6k.
Got be smart with ur money...
As far as the gallardo great car but i personally regret that too
Much is now shared with audi... that and also that my 12 year old cl65 is faster in 1/4mile inspite being 5,2l00bs dont impress me that much;)

Very well stated. I agree 100 percent. There is something special about having and driving one of these cars.

I do, and it works the same as what my dealer fills the engine with. Only (gigantic) difference is the price.

"...bring him the oil"? I change it myself together with all other fluids. Ferrari or not, in the end it's just an engine.

Honestly, major aside, a tr shouldn’t cost u more than 4/5k a year to maintain and thats if u are picky and drive it a reasonable amount. Thats what mine cost me and in that budget i am counting the paint correction, the seats dye as well. The biggest thing is to take your time to shop around for parts; other than that its all reasonably expensive.
A lot of us here are DIYers however a car that has been maintained by good shops and or dealers throughout its life will always or almost always return more money than a self maintained car... i know some may disagree but if i have the choice between 2 TRs within 10-15k of each others i will always choose the one with reputable dealer work done.

Up in post #2, Ozziindaus posted the following pic.

I’m jealous! No wonder they charge so much!

Look at that lift! Stainless steel! The tile floors! I’d bet even the floor is heated!

    Sweet!
