Some are eg Bianco Fuji oil based, the cheaper ones are done at the factory. I meant more what are the specification changes ? Between CDF and CDF Tri.

Here is Bianco Avus which doesn't seem to get as much love, It always strikes me as brighter with a glow, very angelic. And yes, the F150 in the background is also a triple paint

Can anyone tell me who has a red triple layer paint if the maintenance is anymore than a standard red like Corsa? Also, has anyone had experience with a collision repair of a triple layer paint? Are repair costs dramatically higher?

Bianco Fuji --BTW to Tim who posted the sideway avus 458, Avus is a standard color not triple layer. My 488GTB was Avus and VERY different. Fuji, like all the triple layers I've seen, is amazing. Yes repair is no question more difficult and why I had my entire car installed with a clear bra... Image Unavailable, Please Login

Appreciate comments about R Corsa metallic vs Maranello, including pictures. Is the maranello more reflective? The metallic to my eye is darker but the orange is stronger in sunlight. I ve only seen the color plastic model in maranello - how accurate it it? Trying to decide for an 812. Thanks.

Maranello can look a bit burgundy in darker light but does look amazing in the sunlight. RC Metallic doesn’t look much different to my eye than RC in regular light -indoors or out - but in bright sunlight up close it sparkles more due to the second layer of silver (I think) flakes. I personally didn’t find RC metallic that striking to justify the upcharge. Triple layers are super expensive ($30K) but IMO the best $30K in options you can spend for how amazing they look. I’ll personally never do a plain paint job again. My two favorite TL reds are R. Fuoco and R.Maranello and both are beautiful.

There is no metallic in Maranello. It is 3-layer pearl. I don't see orange in it like there is with Fucco, also a great 3-layer. The new R Corsa that came out with the 488 does not present as a 3-layer so would not recommend for your application.

This summer I walked several times in different days by a 488 that looked totally rosso corsa. One day, upon very close inspection, I discovered it had a very slight metal shine, turns out it was rosso corsa metallic. Bottom line for me is I'd never choose RCMet as it barely differs from std RC.

Rosso Maranello, on the other hand, is spectacular under the sunlight. Deep glowing red, really stands out.

I think some of the TL info on this thread is incorrect but happy to be corrected. TL paints cost $29k and colors like Bianco Italia are dual layer (not triple) and cost $19k.Maranello, Fuji, and pearl yellow are the most common triple layer paints

Quick question: I saw a tailor made configurator pic on instagram and the uploader stated that he will get a triple layer matte grey color on his Pista.
Would be the first car ever with this color. He did not want to share the name of the color.
Does anyone know which color it could be?!

I have yet to see a matt triple layer that actually looks triple layer. All depth is lost with the matt finish as far as I've seen.

Love the exterior colour coordination. My style.

My 488 GTB silver wheels std and silver calipers and silver centers. You have the carbon and looks great too. I also went RCM imo better than RC
