Just me but not sure you can trust the Hong Kong one be cause I have seensome pretty cool stuff come out of there which was not factory. I got a good friend over there and I thinkthey just tell us all that to make us jealous. Ha ha
Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login No these are factory. Confirmed via a experienced tech here as well that UK cars have cast plenums. Here is a link to some for sale: again from the UK. http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemDescV4&item=291709857695&category=36474&pm=1&ds=0&t=1541392113420&cspheader=1
I think so too. They are identical in every way and you would not be able to pick it unless you scratched the paint off to reveal the metal or you removed and felt the difference. They are much easier to refinish the metal too. You can sand back the stripes for a nice finish of exposed metal.
Maybe the plastic ones stay a little cooler, nit sure but I had my car for 5 years before I did the first major and I thought they were aluminum that whole time. Sneaky buggers
I attempted this method but after a couple of tries with different types of foam rollers I couldn't get the fins distinct enough for my liking (I clearly don't have the same painting skills as Dave!). I ended up masking everything off and spraying which was time consuming but I was pleased with the end result. The motor in that photo is a later car though, it has the vacuum pump on the LH cylinder head. Agreeded - VHT wrinkle black Looks great, Ettore
Check all the hoses that go into this tank (post #6) they can become clogged after 20 years. They are the small black ones about the size of a pencil.
When I did my rebuild last year, I wanted the intakes to look like the casting on the throttle bodies. I always hate tge stock look of plastic. Look at older newer Ferraris and most are metal. The body shop sprayed a primer thst simulated tge cast look and painted over it. If you touch the Image Unavailable, Please Login intakes you would swear they are metal
I find it interesting that there is a fine line between hideous,( like the gloss red picture I posted 2 above) and tasteful awesomeness..., of course IMO I also used the krinkle valve cover paint on just the intake manifolds , I think it gives the engine bay what it was lacking from other models. Just dont know if i like anything other than the original at this point but like all of you overtime things can change. Next fav is kens though kinda like the 360 and after.
There is another member here developing a different manafold option usually found on the newest ferraris, I won't steal his thunder other than to say, they are absolutely amazing. Maybe he will post
So I don't want to keep starting threads so I'll just keep posting in here. Maybe I'll try to get an admin to change my post title. So I'm just fixing some of the small stuff with the car since I got it. Can I change the little foam ring around the blower motor? Also is there something that should be covering the hole so you can't see the blower? Also I have looked here and exotic auto recycling for a master cylinder carpet cover but haven't had any luck.
The divertor flap actuator or union might be broken, when you hit the recirculating button on HVAC control the flap should close sealing the outside air. If it doesn’t you will have to replace either the plastic union or the actuator itself as they strip the plastic internal gears.
