    Hi guys,

I’m not a fan of the chrome lug nuts look on my 488 as almost everything is blacked out on the car. What after market solutions do we have that don’t cost an arm and a leg?
I have Novitec spacers on - 15mm front 20mm black on oem wheels.

    Thanks in advance.

You can send your bolts off to a local power coater. Pick your color and finish.

I've ordered lug bolts from ECS tuning in the past. Just need to know the thread pitch and length....KEEP IN MIND....they define length as length of the threaded portion not overall bolt length.

I asked that at my installer, he said the color will not stay as soon as you take the wheels off /on

    Caps are an option.
I did that for my Abarth, but did add double sided tape so they held on well enough. It felt as though some might fall off. Other applications may be a more snug fit. Ne suremtomgetmthe removal tool. Mine were shipped without-I guess i either overlooked that, or it was omitted. The Fiat uses lug bolts rather than nuts over studs. The caps I have are just plastic, but I have a chromed and black set, depending which wheels it wears.

For removal of a powdercoated nut/bolt, there are plastic shims you can get at autopart stores which protect the finish of the fastener. They look like the caps with both ends open....the ones I have are an orange plastic.

Using a fourway tire tool (+) seems to be the best way to prevent damage to a chrome capped fastener such as most Chrysler products use, and their finish. They spread the force more evenly across the flats. So, a fourway with the shims for the win.

Anyone have a source for Black steel lugnuts? Does anyone know the size to get for stock 2018 488 Spyder or where I can get that info?

They are M14 x 1.50mm thread pitch. Generally 52mm shaft length from under the 60 degree part. If you have wheel spacers, you'll need longer length.

As far as black, check eBay and you might be able to find some Titanium lug bolts that have a black PVD finish.

Thank you! I don't necessarily need Ferrari branded bolts, but I am not looking for the cheapest option. Willing to pay, but I got to imagine somone that is not Ferrari makes a safe, quality lugnut.

    Is OEM chrome just steel?

Are there aftermarket brands people can share that you feel are quality and less than Ferrari branded. Doesn't have to be the cheapest.
