803A & 805A . I'm sure there is (was) a refurb service where you could send your old ones and get new ones back. Whether they could switch USA <-> EU I can't remember. If you go to a Euro setup, don't you need different the cams also, ideally?
Euro model 308 big front spoiler. Most of my Mods are to the engine. The engine also features the “Hot-rod” P6 cams, four higher performance Weber 44DCNF carbs with 34 mm venturis; Euro 308 headers and a Tubi stainless exhaust, all putting the power to the ground through a lightweight aluminum flywheel with a new AP clutch assembly. The brakes and suspension are improved thanks to 355 front calipers and Koni coil-over shocks with adjustable spring collars, upgraded adjustable anti-roll bars, solid suspension bushings and Boyd 5-spoke 16″ dia. modular billet aluminum wheels with excellent Bridgestone Potenza 205 X 55 X R16 front and 245 X 45 X R16 rear tires. The engine idles like a *****cat at 800 rpm, cruises down the road happily at 2,500 rpm and pulls like a freight train from 4,500 to the 8000 rpm redline thanks to the 10.2 pistons, P6 cams and oversized Weber carbs. And most recently, an XDi ignition system
The above info is for the QV models. For the 2Vi models, the USA DigiPlex is 801 A, while the Euro version is 802 A, shown below. A 100% plug-and-play swap, could not be any simpler to do. Notable performance boost via the use of the Euro version, which offers better ignition advance and timing. DM Image Unavailable, Please Login
A minor mod, but will give you great satisfaction: Replace the plastic clock lens with a glass lens. The original plastic lens invariably gets cloudy with passage of time. The glass lens, which is about $80 or so, does not. - Sam in Saratoga
Thanks for reminding me. The crystal for the clock I started back in 1982. I made up instrument crystals for many exotic restorations. Turned it over to Unobtaniumsupply and he produces a quality product. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
