    Lucky bastard. Love the 747. Only current airliner that is approaching that level of cool IMO is the 777.
    Don’t quite know why, but every time the Emirates one takes off from Adelaide I have to stop and watch it.

    Check out this cool cloud from this morning. I’ve not seen anything quite like it that I can recall. It was almost like a high level roll cloud. Just after I took this pic a huge bolt of lightning went right across it from end to end, and not towards the ground at all.

    Naturally, ten minutes later I took off and was vectored straight towards it... :eek:

    Yes. Rather more than I would have liked. Six sectors and over five hours of flying.
    What’s that about? If I wanted to do that much I would have joined the airlines so at least I could sleep through most of it. :p

    Lucky I’m now home with a scotch in my hand.

    Oh, and why is the text red in my last post? This website does some weird stuff sometimes.
