looking to replace my OEM pads (worn). did some searches, most said OEM is Brembo S600. Pagid (makes for Brembo ?) also have some good pads, RSL19 or RSC1 or RSC2. Pad shape is 8091.

so quick Googling shows this is the same pad as 09-13 Corvette z06/zr1 ceramic brake. Checked on some GM site, picture also showing it as a Brembo S600 pads. Has anyone tried the GM parts ? As Chevy pads are ~30% cheaper.

anything else do you recommend ? thanks.

I posed similar questions about pads for my 360...the resulting thread might help you. Search for OEM Pads for 360.

I am tempted to buy Chevy OEM pads, they are $450 a set. Pagid RSC1 is ~$750 a set.
Chevy OEM (z06/zr1) is basically the same as RSC1 with quick googling....

Pagid RS19 can be found for under $600.

OEM Brembo CC pads are less than half the price of the dealer at Eurospares. Includes pins, clips and wear sensors. I bought front and rears a couple years ago for $1435 with two day Fed Ex shipping.

Well, I went and checked today and looks like inflation and exchange rates could put the OEM pads at around $1750 to $1775 now. Still less than half what the dealer typically charges. SuperformanceUK appears to also carry them at very similar prices

You lost me. Why would I pay $1750. When Pagid RSC1/2 sell for $750? Or $550 RS19 that was used on Challenge cars. When OEM is a Pagid pads.

So Ferrari went to Brembo, Brembo used the pads design as Chevy z06/zr1/z28. Almost the same size rotors, probably same caliper design. Virtually the same brake system. Chevy OEM pads is also Brembo/Pagid.

To each there own. $1750 still does not sound unreasonable for OEM factory pads for BOTH axles, and includes pins, clips and wear sensors. Dealers will charge $4000 for oem pads for both axles. My understanding is the aftermarket pads do not include any hardware or sensors, so may still need to source those and add that additional cost. (or perhaps they can be reused?)

swapped out the pads. I was a bit paranoid - read about how stock Scud pads will have copper studs showing once pads hit 50% wear. I took it to track once, and front pads shows "fraying". turned out only 30% wear. stock is ~10mm, mine was worn to 7mm.

did some research, 430 Scuderia use the same pad shape as Chevy 09-13 z06/ZR1/z28 CCM. there is slight variations of GM parts for them, due to sensor wire length. I bought OEM GM AC-Delco pads.

AcDelco 171-1010 pads. cost $433 on Amazon (I did read that it does go on sale, and as low as $350).

upon opening the pads, box says Brembo. it is a Textar T4300 compound. Textar is under the same company as Pagid. I believe T4300 is higher temp material than S600 (which came on Scud front? and ZR1/Z06 rear).

I did not change out brake sensors. I just re-used them.
changing pads are real simple. drive out 2 pins, and remove 13mm nut for the middle pin. remember to remove the sensor (push it out with a screw driver) before removing inner pad.

    Scud OEM is 07.9408.11
    ZR1 OEM is 07.948.51

car drove great with GM's new pads !!

Measure the thickness on your rears. When I had all my pads changed, one pair of the rears has the most wear, probably from the traction control activating when the car was tracked by the previous owner. Mine were changed due to overheating and lack of bite, not due to wear. So if you are worried about wear and the pins showing, you need to check your rear pads as well.

thanks. I did check rear pads and they were fine. btw, I always turn off all traction control or ESC when tracking any car. they make car unpredictable.
