For some reason I saw three new NSX's driving together today in a caravan. The car looks much better on the road than it does in photos.
Doesn’t it? I take photos sometimes on my phone and I’m amazed it’s even the same car by looking up from my screen.
Thank you very much! After posting I found the talent who illustrated this - S Y = Shin Yoshikawa Attribution appreciated.
Seems like constant rain here too. When do you get it back? My work went perfectly fine. No issues. Good news you noted on updates to the car - software and hardware.
Nice! Apart from yesterday, we've finally has a nice run of Indian summer weather. Best weather for driving. T
A few pics. Slow drive and enjoyed the scenery. Dramatic sky and gusty. Beautiful. Lots of wet leaves on the back roads. A few more. And gas at our new local Costco. Few are using it so no lines. Works for me. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's crazy there's no one at Costco gas. Ours is 40-50 cents/g cheaper for premium. They have 24 pumps and it is still a line 2-3 cars deep a lot of the time.
Another beautiful day. Amazing driving roads. And those downshifts... magic. Spot on perfect. Drove through one busy area and a lady practically came out of her window with a huge thumbs up! Fun drive. A few pics. Beautiful night for a drive here, 64 degrees out. Took the draggy with me. I have a nice flat piece of road near me about a half a mile long. 0-100 mph in 6.92 seconds . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah, snuck in another drive. Beautiful. Got on it a couple of times... damn. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I’m tempted to upgrade the downpipes and exhaust. Science of Speed makes a great pair and the exhaust is still valved which I like. Only issue is finding an Acura dealer locally who will do the installation. Mine will not.
Hi Jon - I am really interested in the NSX. Does the car feel like a 3800 lbs car ? How is the handling ? I had a 458 and drive a Scud currently. Thanks !
The car drives wonderfully, particularly in track mode with the gearbox set to manual. Feels in no way like 3800 pounds. Steering wheel is perfect size. Not a ton of steering feel but the weighting is excellent. I’ve heard reviewers say the brakes are no good, which is untrue. Brakes feel great. I’m amazed they can make carbon ceramics work so well in all conditions and not squeak. The launch mode is addictive! It’s quite comfortable. Plus, in person it’s a stunner, the proportions are spot on. Downsides: sound isn’t great, hence my previous post. Not terrible but not spine tingling like Ferrari’s. Back up camera stinks. I don’t have 360 parking and wish I did because the car is very wide. Not even sure it’s an option. Gas mileage isn’t great when you’re pushing the car. I average about 17 mpg over 1500 miles but no real highway journeys yet. Interior plastic should have been offered in carbon for the original sticker price. If you currently love your scud, however, you may be disappointed. The NSX is certainly quicker from point A to point B and more livable. The Scud will be far more raw, louder, sharper and scarier.
Thanks Jon! I like the Scud for the "experience" that it provides. I don't drive it all the time but when I do boy it wakes you up and provides an authentic Ferrari driving experience. The NSX on the other hand is a cool car, with the latest tech, much more useable, and would be a great addition to the Scud. Again thanks for your feedback!
