Let's take it one step further....turning the engines down during a race due to all this 3 component rule. I believe they told Max to turn it down at one point during the race. The tires don't help either.

So a race leader shouldn't feel entitled passing an already lapped back marker ?

A back marker in a competely inferior car, already being lapped but still trying to get back into some sort of race with the leader of the race ?

Have you ever noticed blue flagged back markers getting out the way of/making room for the front of the pack ? why do you think that is ?

Someone is clearly watching a very different sport than I seem to do.

 

Hamilton’s engine was ‘one lap away from failure’

Lewis Hamilton’s power unit was “just about to break” at one stage during the Brazilian Grand Prix, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff gas revealed.

Hamilton complained several times about problems with his power unit on his radio during the race. Wolff credited the Mercedes High Performance Powertrains for finding a way to keep it running.

“We had such a horrible race today with the perfect end result with Lewis winning and us winning the constructors championship,” said Wolff.

“But I can tell you mid-race we got the information: ‘power unit failure imminent on Lewis’s car’. And the guys in the background, the HPP guys fixed it.

“God knows how you can fix hardware that is just about to break and make the car finish. So that race was just a nightmare until obviously the checkered flag came down and everything broke loose.”

Wolff described the moment he heard on the team’s radio the power unit was one lap away from failure.

“What I could hear – because I’m having about 10 channels open – on one of the meeting channels was ‘Lewis Hamilton power unit failure imminent – it’s gonna fail within the next lap.’ And I said ‘excuse me, what?’

“And they said we have a massive problem on the power unit and it’s going to fail next lap. It didn’t fail next lap, and I said when you guys have a minute, let them work, [then] tell me what what’s happening.

“They said ‘well, our exhaust is just about to fail’ and we’re over-shooting all the temperature limits as to what’s to fix and so they started to fix it turning the whole thing down. And then the stages temperatures went down to below a thousand, 980, but it’s still too high. And then he recovered another lap. That was truly horrible.”

Funny that the guy who’s crashed out more people than I can remember, cost others too many championship points count... gets that pissed when the favor is returned.

Max has become my least favorite driver. Hes not become the driver I thought he’d be.

 

Let him spend a couple of days in the favelas next to the track there,he most likely wouldn't come out all in one piece.

I gotta say though... it’s uncanny that no matter how bad the circumstances are...Lewis and Merc just come out smelling like roses. It’s like they literally walk in water. I have a feeling 2019 is going to be sheer domination.

1) the stewards need to grow a pair and dish out some proper punishment that will make that little twirp think twice;

2) that little twirp needs to go have a long hard look at himself in the mirror. His race; he threw it away cause his head is too big. Then he behaves like an idiot.

Yes, Ocon is allowed to unlap himself, there is no rule against it... but there is also no rule against Sirotkin driving faster on an outlap... so maybe Lewis should not give others advices he does not follow himself. We all know what he would have said if Ocon would have crashed into him that moment... you can be 100 % certain that the word "disrespect" would have been found in his speech.
That said Max overreacted but talking about "assault" and "jail"??? Seriously???
