I saw a white 458 with minimalistic striping today in LA- actually looked really good and I’m not usually an aftermarket type of guy

 

Do what makes you happy! I've been considering doing likewise and have compiled nearly 100 photos of striped 488's from various internet sources. Give me a sense for what you're considering and I'll PM you with some photos. As noted, if you decide to return the car to its stock appearance, simply remove the stripes.

 

The Pista Spider has an awesome blue stripe in it. I don't see how that's a bad thing to do aftermarket on a 488 Spider. Not sure I would but no one is complaining about it on the Pista.

Go for it! Don’t let others talk you out of it. We take this stuff too seriously. Here is what I did to my car. Couldn’t get a Pista, so I call mine the Pasta.

Yeah some are gonna hate it. Who cares! Like I said, my installed charged me a $100 to put on the striping. When I get sick of it, I’ll peel it off.

Enjoy your ride and have fun. That’s what it’s all about.
