Maybe ask a moderator to put this in the vintage forum. There is a huge braintrust there.

make certain you locate a competent mechanic and he will give you a one year warranty on his work.
My C/4 engine rebuild took 3 tries and 2 different mechanics over a 3 year period. These are complicated motors to do right.
Plan on spending $30K or more, depending on what they find when the motor comes apart.

Without knowing anything at all about your car, budget, etc ....but just as a place to start looking....

On the west coast in LA area I'd say - Fast Cars ltd in Redondo Beach
Northern California - Patrick Ottis in Berkeley

East Coast/NY area - Bradan on Long Island

I know all three of them have rebuilt 365QM engines from the ground up, per speaking with them directly (not by having them do it for me though). Bradan works on my car but it's a 308, not a 365. But they're awesome. For west coast work I'd use Craig at Fast Cars. Patrick Ottis is, well, Patrick Ottis. Vintage Ferrari legend (and nice guy to talk with). Seemed very forthcoming about prices, timelines, etc when discussing potential jobs.

I'm sure there are a bunch of other places throughout the country, but those are the ones I have direct knowledge of.

Also take a look at Tom Yang's website. Lots of V12 expertise there in Tom's blog and the forum, including reference to various workshops.

Jim Trofiter at ATD rebuilt mine, but he's local to me and very convenient. In Portland, OR. He's rebuilt a number of 330/365 engines.
