    Yeah. There was a discussion on page 4 of this thread about real ME109s and the Spanish licence-built copies with the different engine.

    For mine only the originals are “real” ME109s.

    He had a huge collection Adrian....Google him....He died on lake Liddel in Singleton testing an experimental A/C quite a few years ago.....His collection was admired around the globe......He had a spit , Zero , 109 , Stuka etc......

    Real ones basically never come up for sale, as they pretty much don’t exist. Certainly there would be less than a dozen and maybe only a couple that are flyable, which is amazing considering how many of them were made.
    There are likely several of the Spanish copies around the place, though.

    Happy to stand corrected, but that seems unlikely. Very impressive if true for sure.
    Those genuine old German warbirds are very thin on the ground indeed.
