Send the seller a message and ask if they can guarantee that the cross-references between Maserati and Ferrari part number is correct.
It would surprise me if Maserati/Ferrari would use different solenoids on different versions of the F136 engine.

Ok, let's wait and see if somebody else here got some valuable info about this topic.

I'm curious too, not that my solenoids needs to be changed at this point, but for future reference :)

The cables are different lengths - the Maserati part fits the F430 but not the other way around.

Bringing up an old topic again. Are you sure the Maserati part has the same function if installed in an F430? @mwstewart

The solenoid just opens and closes. If opening diameters are the same and it allows oil to flow at the same rate then should work. OTOH the key issue imho is the resistance of the coil in the solenoid. If it matches then should work.. if it doesn’t it will throw codes

    I wonder if 599 gto's variable timing solenoid(296016) fits the 430.
The reason for the guess is that the 599 GTB's solenoid is have the same part # as the 430. So GTO's shouldn't be too far off?
I understand the connector could be different but shouldn't that be an easy DIY modification?

the price of 296016 is only 1/5 of the price of the 212423 or 250646

Old thread but the 296016 appears to be very different. I'm ordering 4 of the 212423 Maserati solenoids for mine now.... I found the for $423 a piece.
