Did Iacocca have more than one Countach? I thought he had a Anni model.
Will sort out and post details, new solution now about a 1000miles in no issues tight as a drum and if I have to replace a joint we are talking £14 each for chrome Molly joint Kevlar liners
Joey, Lee Iacocca owned at least two 1989 25th Anniversaries, the red/tan KLA12428 delivered to him in California, and the famed silver/silver KLA12648 delivered to him in Michigan. The latter car was a factory Speciale with a redesigned interior in silver lamé, the glove-box door adorned with a signed gold plaque (see below), this car now belongs to a gentleman in California who rates it as priceless. The red/tan car was quickly resold through Tony Carlini's Newport Imports which caused a fuss http://articles.latimes.com/1989-12-07/business/fi-492_1_newport-auto-center , I know it didn't actually sell there because I knew Tony Carlini (whose 288 GTO I ended up with) and the gentleman who actually later sold it. Nevertheless, I think Lee owned more Countachs than just the aforementioned, naturally as with someone of his standing it's impossible to know all his dealings and we should remember that during the era that Chrysler owned Lamborghini he could requisition any car he wanted. FWIW he also owned a well-documented Ferrari F40 87345 which he kept for a few years Image Unavailable, Please Login
He was the quintessential corporate giant. Buying Lamborghini was a perfect compliment to his personality, and as I understand it, it was a huge thrill for him personally. I believe he is still alive today and living in Bel Air.
Looks like Matt has an exciting day ahead of him. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I recognize that plate.. plus it looks like a black protective skid plate on the lower front airfoil...? “Lamborghini Countach” script in the door jambs printed in white or silver? Is that correct?
Beeing that i am blocked on the dd section,i will post this in the fi section in response to Sackeys post reg fi,wich should have been posted in this section. Fi owners love their fi, Engineered by Lamborghini, with good german engineering as a bonus, we do not have any intentions converting our cars to carbs,if i wanted a carburated car,i would simply go out and buy one, also the people i know owning fi,have no financial problems doing the same. Here is what we do like to reverse on our cars:Bumpers, exhast, and side markers, thats it, these where add ons, and shoud be removed, also,by removing the cats, the fi runs like a dd, imagine the performance if you innstalled headers, Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sackey responded to that post already. He was in a learning phase at that time, and has since decided he was wrong. lol
