Exactly. It's the flat floor, coupled with the interior volume, coupled with (at least in the older vans) the ability to completely remove all of the seats save the front two (so it isn't a flat floor on top of folded seats, it is a lower flat floor. Try standing an adult bike upright in most SUV's.
This is all bogus. The current odyssey has a 3.5 v6 with either a 9 or 10 speed. The article says the current model has a 2.0. Amazing the “type r” would come with a 5 speed transmission. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
There's just no market for it. Seriously, who would buy something like this? The "R" treatment to a minivan goes completely against what a minivan is all about in the 1st place.
I see it. I didn't until I owned one. I really don't think this thing (Odyssey Type R) is real, but I'd definitely go test-drive one if they are.
I watched a TV show the other day that featured a Honda minivan that had been heavily modified. It lost the race.
Its total BS guys. The write up contradicts itself. It shows a manual and then talks about the 10 speed transmission or whatever. It contradicts itself left and right if you really read it and try to make sense of it. All bogus
I can tell no one posting in this thread travels a lot to Asia. They LOVE minivans. They love fancy minivans with spoiler kits. They will eat this up like candy !
Super nerds in their souped up mini van. Big wing, loud exhaust, still slowing down the left lane. yeah
Not the high roof like a mini van, but seating for 6 adults. Super long wheelbase, great ride, getting in and out of the 2nd and 3rd row easy with regular doors (rears are extra long). 500hp, although there is also a diesel version with less hp but over 400 ft. lbs. of torque. Same chassis as the w164 ML, when set up properly, rated for pulling over 7000 lbs. If you could drop the 707 hp engine in the Durango...……………… Regards, Jerry
