    I calibrate my torque wrenches with a digital meter at home, pretty easy to do. All my wrenches are spot on.

    I've seen some consumer grade units, they look tempting to have one, I'm sure they are plenty good enough. I mean, I'm not going to spend $1200 to $1500 for a machine. I did get a free test once at a Costco store, all of them have testers and they check all their torque wrenches monthly and keep a log. Anything out of calibration they send out for repair. I met the automotive buyer for Costco on a local BMW forum and he hooked me up.

    That's good to know. CDI is owned by Snap-On, so for me it's worth asking. My son-in-law is an ASE auto tech and the Snap-On truck stops by his shop regularly.

    I work for a aircraft manufacturing company. We use both Snap-on and CDI. They hold calibration well and that's a big deal for us. I have CDI's at home. No issues.

    Expect to pay $170-200 for a 1/2 drive
