Looks like it will retain the Mac doors.

Very curious to see how the doors work and where they tuck that roof

If you freeze frame you'll see that the glass on the doors is frame less unlike the coupe where part of the roof is attached to the door as well as a frame

    I'm confused by the date.

8.12.18 would be August 12th. I checked the source code, and it looks like this was first published in February for an August launch of the 570 Spider.

    Is that right?

    Correct ... day/month/year.

UK company = UK date format.

    Thanks, guys.

I'm familiar with the Euro year/month/day.

I lived this long and never realized that the UK does things differently!

Dont think so. Not everyone wants a spider. I've had them, never put the top down, performs the same as a coupe for more $$. The end game car is the 7XXLT. A better looking Senna for 1/3 the price.

I’m not interested in the spider version of either car. I like the fighter canopy and full doors. I’ll continue to enjoy my 720 until the 750LT comes along in mid 2020. No reason to buy another new sports car until then!

Spider versions of 458, 488, 570, and now 720 have no downside vs coupe. Theyre so light and stiff that no one could tell difference by driving. Worth it even if only put top down 1 out of 10 drives. To each his own but resale market proves spiders value vs coupe.

The 1 spider I don't understand is performante w its soft top. Special trick aero cant possibly work as well and most tracks wont allow it without hardtop

I can only pray it makes coupe prices drop 10-15% in the used market so I can buy one In the mid 250’s with a decent spec.

LOL. One can dream. Maybe this time next year. 'Decent spec' operative words.

It will 100% happen with regards to prices but the decent spec part will be the challenging thing. And decent miles. You are already seeing 5k mike cars for sub 300k. But that’s a lot of miles for one of these IMHO.

What's interesting is I think many will drive the 720 more than other 'supercars' because it's so DD able (which will lead to higher mile cars). See a bunch of 4-5K mile one year cars...that is a lot of miles, but at least they are enjoying them.

I agree with that but would also argue it’s no more drivable than a 488. I think it’s more the Mac culture than the actual car.

Crazy how many variations of rear mid engine cars in the market compared to a decade ago and there's still demand
