It is the like the Scuderia, There is an outside pipe that goes through the bumper and the inner pipe which is the muffler pipe so the bumper is insulated from the exhaust heat.
Loving this thread. I just wish that engine and power mods were mainstream like camshaft swaps, intakes manifolds etc. With the exception of the gruppeM CAI, the Toda strokers and exhaust, doesn't seem there is a lot to be done there. I plan of doing a real word test of the 4 exhausts I have to see if there is any noticeable difference between them. Dynos can be expensive and inconsistent day to day. I plan on doing some 3rd or 4th gear 2500rpm-8500rpm pulls timed with a data logger with each setup with the same environmental conditions. You're right engine changes are few but plenty of braking and handling options which make for a fun driving car. Shocks, springs, wheels, tires, steering rack and sway bar changes, lowering are all available. It seems like you have already done some of these. If I had to choose more power over better handling and braking I would take better handling and braking.
My bumper is slightly charred from the Tubi in the normal position (had straight pipes for a while too), so I'm also surprised there no scorching around that mid-bumper placement!
Kenny - Tony (Drock28) I believe has done all kinds of exhaust tests - perhaps he will chime in or send him a PM.
It was. Regrettably sold. Was just a 383/auto but probably the nicest restoration I've seen. Sold it for a 69 Charger 426/5 speed I'm finishing.

Hey Bob can you do me a favour and post a good resolution top down pic onto the middle of the engine showing intakes and from front of the engine right to back of engine. That is if your engines out Have not seen 1 before and i did not get one during my majors. Thanks
A lot of mods on mine too, the goal is now to make a real Challenge car... Yes it would have been easier to buy a Challenge car, but, I've started my mods and now now Challenge cars are much more expensive. And my car had no accident, no hard racing and the engine is really healthy.
