The Saints could use a loss right about now. I don't have the NFL network so I will miss the game as well. I am hoping this is a good one, maybe I will head to a near by bar to watch.
And nobody is talking about Minnesota at New England... That one will be as interesting as the NO - DALL game.
What surprised me from listening to the Sunday night game is just how mundane the Vikes running game is this year. Maybe Dalvin Cook isn't fully healthy? He sure looked like the real deal before getting injured last year. Or, perhaps, the $$$$ spent on Cousins needs to be rationalized with an emphasis on the passing game? Either way, they beat NO on a fluke play last year and I do not see Vikes as better this year than last, while NO is playing lights out. I think NFC goes through the Superdome or whatever they are calling it now...T
Same problem as Philly (prior season 'winning hangover') Minn has three of the best receivers in the game - and they never use Rudolph, go figure. They have three problems that I see: 1) The O-line has injuries, or problems. 2) Their expensive QB is nowhere near as good as THEY thought he was, apparently they never bothered to look at his record when at Washington against winning teams, it was something like 4 wins and 17 losses, or something like that. I said before he left Wash that he was not as good as people think he is, nobody listens... 3) The Defensive Backfield is not on the same page in any game this season.
You should, you will be very surprised when you run a scan on your TV just how many free channels you get...
Oh yea, that's the Texans broadcast team. Assume you know who andre ware is, Marc Vandermeer is considered the voice of the Texans. He's definitely one of the best. He and Andre used to host a show on 610 years ago. I never cared for him as sports talk guy, but my dad really enjoyed him.
Actually, on that you and I agree. I’ve never liked him, and have always maintained that he’s never won a game that mattered. These morons look at stats and think he’s the next Brees, then overpay. I think I was the first to say that it won’t matter what team you put him on (when Minny first signed him) he will still suck. Now at least there’s proof because Minny is actually a decent team, whereas before he could hide behind the mediocre Skins. The Skins were the geniuses in this one letting go instead of overpaying
Whisky says "Cousins overpaid". Ace says "Hallelujah, Brother Whisky!" I agree that they overpaid him based on his past performance. But, the Vikings seem to be in win-now mode, so they likely felt they had to overpay to get the best available QB, and that Keenum would not repeat his stats of last year. Vikings have rough schedule upcoming and are going to be in a dog fight with 3 other teams for NFC wild cards. So, we'll see Cousins tested. T
Nice little story on Adam Thielen and his journey from Mankato State to Vikings. http://www.espn.com/blog/minnesota-vikings/post/_/id/27523/finding-adam-thielen-how-the-vikings-discovered-a-star-at-a-tryout?platform=amp&__twitter_impression=true T
I don't know about that 4th down call. Put the ball in Brees' hands and let him get it done. Of course it doesn't help that the receiver dropped a 1st down pass
The first half was great. This second half feels like I've been ramming my head into a brick wall for the past hour. Stupid mistakes
