anyone knows if we are able to import a LFA into the country ?

I understand there are only a handful and maybe the Govt would allow it to be imported .

    Thanks

There are 2 for sale here, one of them fully registered in Victoria, I personally would call Lexus Sydney, I’m sure through their contacts they could help determine the facts regarding the importation and registration of your car given what it is, good luck with the move

Where we purchased out Lexus here in Vic., the CEO of Brighton Lexus has a yellow one in his showroom, his own car, yes its for sale at the right price :)

Buy a LC500, 1/3rd the car at 1/5th the price

10 cars were sold here, it could of been imported using low volume or full compliance plates (I'm guessing full). Either way it's not on the SEVS register so... good luck with that :p

"Well before we confirmed five LFAs for Australia we had more than enough solid enquiries to quadruple that allocation," Lexus Australia CEO Tony Cramb said.

"Lexus Australia's initial allocation of five has doubled due solely to customer demand. We now expect the last of our 10 LFA to be delivered in late 2012."

I read the other day that there are still 7 brand new LFA's for sale in dealer showrooms in the US - not bad for a car that finished production in 2012!

no surprise there, at US$375K they were up against a lot of capable and exotic competition.

The overwrought styling does nothing for me, particularly the air ducts at the rear, which are clearly an attempt to make it look mid engined.

Yamaha engine is a good thing though - just like the Ferrari 355 :)

I quite like the styling in the flesh. From memory the rear ducts feed air through coolers of some sort, I think water, but could be transmission cooler. You can see the the fins through the vents. The V10 revving to 9000+rpm sounds pretty good.

The car is an engineering marvel, but does not get the emotional engagement of other marques
