boot is broken and I don't want to dismantle the wheel bearing side. So i think i have take off the metal cover "A" on the gearbox side, right? how do I do that? brutal force by flathead+hammer? Also I've heard that on 348's half shaft there's a circlip inside of A. does the 360 has a circlip as well? Image Unavailable, Please Login
When I replaced the boots and overhauled the inner CV joints on my 355, I could not remove cover A with the hammer + flathead alone. I needed to use a dremel tool to cut a small slot on the side of cover A to relieve the pressure between the cover and the joint housing. Once the job was done, I fitted a new Cover A since the old ones were destroyed during removal.
