With so many amazing nuances, the Countach, in all its various incarnations, has some incredible design elements. What are your favorite features?

Very much the same for me, also - there are just too many features and/or details that make the Countach what it is in my eyes...
    But, just a few of mine for starters;

The QV engine cover has long been a favourite of mine.
The full length swage line from the point of its nose along to the top corner of tail lights is pure automotive pornography!
The fussy detailing of the radiator intakes - what appears to be a simplistic origami shape is actually a deceptively complex shape.
The shape of the tail light panels - what a way to make the very basic layout of three simple square lights into such an iconic design.
The NACA ducts, of course (probably one of most people's favourites), and the fact that they chose to highlight them in black, rather than camouflage in body colour like most other manufacturers do.

    And so-on and so-on and so-on...

THE Countach most iconic design feature as a single detail,is the rear wheel arches on the first original LP400 .

    On Lowbody

    S1
    Bravo wheels
    First 27 Stewart Warner gauges

    S1-S2
    Tucked in front track
    Wider front lower spats
    Moody wing
    Sebring mirrors/Flag mirrors

    And lower body dimensions !

Lowbody vs later car ? No contest on which looks more sleek and exotic. The LP400S Lowbody for sure.

Ok,c mon guys, here we have this amazing creation, all new out of this world design, wonderfully simple, yet full of obstructions wich makes for a design never seen before. Ground braking, the father of the mid engine super car,as we know it. And after all this, You guys actually thinks the end of the run Engine hatch, hood, engine lid, powerdome, whatever you choose to call it. Is THE best design feature/favorit detail on the Mighty Countach, really? Hopefully your inncome is not design related lol.

1 As mentioned, THAT rear wheel arch.
    2 Scissor doors.
3 Beautiful flowing swage line from front to haunched rear.
    4 Trapezoids all over.
    5 Banana seat.
    6 Double pop up headlights
7 6 twin side draft carbs, just so pretty.
    8 Rear light cluster
9 The way the 4 exhausts exit the back
10 Little LP400 roof light, the engine slats and engine lid side mesh, NACA duct, the hidden door button , the shoulder air intakes, the Countach typeface, reverse gear catch, air inlets below front bumper, flat windscreen not, twisted rear side glass, those lovely little duct holes in the roof, vitaloni mirrors , perfect steering wheel, the gear lever look and position, the interior light, the interior door handle and position. The car abounds with design and touches which seem to work remarkably well and have a tactile feel so missing on more modern cars.

The windshield is truly remarkable. I can’t recall any pierce of automotive glass quit like it. The way the completely flat plane continues the line from the bumper to the roof. Gorgeous.

Thank you! I could go on all day in this thread. :). I really like the way the radiator ducts look from this view as well as the way the wedge nose tapers in.

I'm more about the nuts and bolts. My favorite features are the fact that Lamborghini took a well developed engine and repurposed it for an "outside the box" car. This involved planting it backwards ( the right bank of cylinders is on the left side of the car) and mating it to a gearbox/diff assembly that runs the driveshaft through the sump.

    Yes.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate every design feature everyone else has mentioned on this page.

But the Power Dome is actually a purposeful fully-functioning component that not only belies that the Countach you are looking at contains the factory's most potent and unique carbureted engine, the very heart of the beast, but the cover itself has been designed to incorporate trapezoidal planes and retain the side vents that hearken all the way back to the LP400S, its a design feature that strikes fear in the hearts of some and evokes dreams in others.

    Power Dome, tops for me.

Would be nice to ask Mr. Gandini!

Actually he was asked in May 2017 to draw the cover of "Ruoteclassiche", an italian magazine. And guess what, he chose a Countach!

And it appears that he chose an early one. I love this sketch that really shows well the mix of trapezes of which the Countach is made of. I especially like the lines that go from the rear trunk, to the engine cover and that finish with the periscope.

The Countach is just an assault on all your automotive senses! Shapes noises and smell!
And I am sorry but the wing really did top it all off for me, where else could the lady in suspenders lay! Car Pornagraphy!

I also like the huge door sills and the effort required to ingress and egress from the cabin.

I fit in everything and like the compact dimensions of the cabin (the predecessor is even more compact :)).

The car also looks really nice and I find it difficult to pick a particular trait of the car.

    Everything flows so well.

In addition, I do not care for the wing on the car.
