still looking. also interested in two tone gold and steel or solid gold. thanks. any condition, vintage, or dial color.
Steve: A local Authorized Dealer, Leonardo Jewelers in Red Bank, NJ had a new, solid rose-gold Daytona for sale (at list price) when I stopped in last week. Alan
I wouldn't buy a gold watch from an AD unless they give a good discount. Solid everose daytonas can be found for 20% off MSRP in unworn condition from reputable grey dealers.
Pass on the Daytona (no offense to anyone that has them...I have had quite a few over the years) and look at the Omega Speedmaster Grail 376.0822. I like to say it is the Maserati Ghibli 4.7 coupe what the Rolex Daytona is to the Ferrari Daytona. Just an observation...don't flame me!
what do run of the mill SS daytonas go for now ? i used to think $10k but it looks like they are now in the $15k range ?
A new SS Daytona with a black ceramic bezel (Ref. = 116500LN) carries an MSRP of $12,400. But that means nothing since there are simply none available from any authorized dealer. They sell for roughly twice that amount on the secondary market.
I saw on another thread you are looking for a Tudor also, have you considered a Tudor Big Block in lieu of the Daytona?
Check the Rolex forum........or David SW Rolex of Orlando. I’ve purchased from him several times. He can get the impossible to find, at a price.
Go to an authorized dealer. Place an order. The stainless Daytona lists for $12K. If you want one on resale you will pay $18K plus. Authorized dealers have to sell at list.
